I could be. I don't feel Pentagone and Titanic really as folkloric. The half of the cries in Titanic were in Kikongo like the most albums in the 90's and early '00. That style of animation need to return. I'm fed up with those cries who are reffering to sex. Yesterday I saw Mukusa ya Mbwa animating his new crie "tafuna bord, mela bord" and "Macon con, Masoko" with Koffi happy dancing to it.

 The generic/song that felt really folkloric is that Ngoma Maguy, Titina Al Capone (drums) and especially Alain Makaba (rhythm, lead & keyboards) & Didier Masela (bass) did a good job. It was a mix a folklore and modernity.



The best folklore generique stays Madilu's Sa Majeste. I can t get engough of that generic.

Yes. I think the best kikongo atalakou was the great Alphatshino (RIP). He did so effortlessly in the Fula Ngenge-Mwalimu days

Brigade is responsible in my opinion of making dirty animation popular. After he had success with that, everyone followed suit abandoning the syle of what made the atalaku sections of songs memorable.

Brigade is the most famous and so he got the infamous name of the guy who only speaks about sex, but Fally, Ferre, Bill and many others refers a lot to sex Fally (Cherie na nga asalaka mayi ya bien or something like that) or Ferre (ata sans mungwa bako lia yo ata ba dongoli yo te) Bill (Edendaka sans ba simb'ango sans ba simb'ango) Koffi (Mayi ya bandal mayi, Nyama etc.) I think that Congolese people unlike many Christians and Muslim people have a more open relationship with sexuality and see it as an invite to the life, but even though it is positive, it can be annoying listen to whole those sex lyrics

I know that JB Mpiana had to record and mix Anti-Terror in South Africa, I believe General Alerte EP by Werrason was completed in RDC, but where did Extra Musica record Obligatoire?

Werrason is lucky he was able to complete A La Queue Leu Leu in Europe before the scandal increased, or the album quality could have been compromised.

These artist need to construct good studios in Congo, it'll reduce overhead cost in making music.
