Was that a way to piss Calugi off ? Because Calugi was using "number one" already in Wenge 4x4. Mboshi was saying the same thing aboutbeing the best sapeur of all atalaku's,when he returned with Quartier Latin in Kinshasa after Olympia & Zenith. I just realised that Mboshi & Theo Mbala were saying exactly the same things Calugi was saying in his interviews.



Tutu Calugi said that he was the first atalaku to dance with the mbonda-player,which is also true. We all saw how Bill Clinton was doing the same thing with Ali Mbonda.
 Which made me think if he & Bidjana started the style of dancing like clowns at the start of the concerts, which Celeo & Bill Clinton were also doing back in the days, but a little better.

the generic which made Celeo finally get the recognition he deserved. I wanted to see Celeo longer in Maison Mere. I think that he could have been like Gentamicine in BCBG or Doudou Adoula in Zaiko. But you know how the most Congolese leaders act when they see their musicians getting to wealthy.

I thought Djouna Mumbafu was the orginal who considered himself "beau gars ya ba amimateur". He was far ahead of his time in many respects

I agree, although it's become apparent that Werrason never really wanted Celeo around since the beginning so a long-term run with Masion Mere was never going to work out.

Also, he was over-recruiting in the atalaku section of the band; Roi David, Kene Kene, Brigadi Sarbati, and Petit Prince.

Tutu Caludji will always be number one for popularizing falsetto animations, though Celeo and Mboshi had longer run of creative cries after ndombolo craze. Celeo should of left singing alone, he really isn't that good...

I almost forget that atalaku CNN and Mboshi were in Quarter Latin at the same time (although briefly), why was Mboshi the last to leave Quarter Latin when all his contemporary bandmembers had left to form Academia? Did he really think he could continue on with Koffi, especially with all the internal changes occuring within the group?

That whole Droit De Veto era was a weird one...

Somono and co were saying in their first interview that Mboshi was with them. Which made Koffi angry and see Mboshi as a traitor. While his intention was to stay with Koffi. So Koffi left him behind for those concert in Cameroun and boosting only CNN. Which made Mboshi think that his time was over in Quartier Latin. So he called Somono in Europe and Jimmy Mukelenge, who was then their manager in their first months brought him Paris. From then a polemic started between CNN and Mboshi about steeling cries. "ba maman balumiana, aah seigneur eeh, akota akoto, tata muana kazola, etc."
