@Archos did you hear the shoutout Tata Mobitch and JB Mpiana in "Sante Nzinga" ? "Papa Cherie Oleki bango na kolata" and all the shoutouts to sapologues like Wemba, Kester etc.
Wow am impressed by every minute of this album!

Last new album I enjoyed this much was Manda Chante's Je Suis from 2 years ago. Another album that took years to become a masterpiece.

I was left wondering if it was still legal to make a song as powerful as Pire Pirate. So refreshing to hear sebene not recorded at Studio n'daiye.

Bro, there's plenty of sebene songs and a strong generique.

So funny. In a previous post, about our dislikes about the Congolese genre, I was labeled as not really knowing what I was talking about.  Blaise Bula drops a masterpiece and basically corroborated most of what i was saying.  The album has the perfect ratio of rhumba to sebene and he did not disappoint.  The vocal arrangements reminiscent of Wenge BCBG 4x4 and Alain Makaba's guitar licks! This is the best of album of the year so far.  I don't think any of the newer generation guys can top this one.

Very good job. As someone said above, Blaise and Karmapa gave us "rumba purists" some gems to dance to.

Is it only me or Oukombossoro is very very very close to Les Marquis 7e Lecon? The guitar and the crie is the same. Did anyone else notice the similarity?

atalaku solomondi mondial kinda reminds me of a prime kabuya(since now its very hard to assess what is his real level) except michka who moved to maison mere and team wata and aaron machine the drummer who went for test in maison mere and bcbg and now is with one of the ex maison mere guys from what i hear blaise pretty much kept the same team of 2008 when he returned to kin plus some new guys

No. There is no sebene. Not in the modern sense (an atalaku), and not even in the ancient conception (focus on the instrumentalists  with eventually the repetition of a catch phrase and/or shout out) or the traditional sense (the use of the drum to make people danse - elengi ya mbonda). In all these cases, it's imply that the narrative part of the song is over or is at least suspended.

In this song, they are singing until the end, the last minute being a repetition of the chorus.

Despite the somehow upbeat instrumentation, it's a pure rhumba song, which you called boring.
