I also have a strange question, why did Koffi change his date of birth? In this video, people wish happy birthday to Koffi and the presenter says "he was born on August 13th" but today is July 13th, which is Koffi's birthday.

Yes he left Quartier Latin for BCBG and stayed then there for 7 months. After that he tried to rejoin Quartier Latin,but there were already 3 drummers there (Titina, Cambodge and another one). According to the press he participated in some concerts with him then leaving. Then he joined Zaiko, but Nyoka Longo didn't like him because of the experience he had with Kamono & Willy Bula. So he went to join Viva Tendence which Wemba created after the ngulu-affaire. He finally rejoined Quartier Latin in 2005 in Europe when they came for a tour.

In 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2005 alot of musicians who left wanted to return.

Koffi's reaction to Bamba Toko's questions were so savage. I don't understand why Koffi always has to react that way to journalists who are anti-Kabila (Daniel Safu, etc.). Congolese concert-promoters are not serious. I remember the way people were waiting to Koffi's triple Olympia and that event being cancelled 3 times.

I like the way Koffi Olomide & Papa Wemba forgive their musicians even if they were insulted on tv, etc. While in Clan Wenge you must to kneel down, etc. and do many things to be accepted back if you were an influent member.

Zaiko was not the only band complaing about Koffi blocking them in Kinshasa. Sam Tshintu and JB Mpiana would also accuse Koffi when they had problems with ngulu's even Papa Wemba's staff saying claiming that Koffi snitched them.

Surprised to see Joel Photo Mbetenge wanting to join Koffi's staff. He lost everything after that they closed his shop in Chateaux Rouge and his influence went really down after that. He sacrified his life for Wenge Maison Mere by doing the most craziest things (renting horses, monkeys, goats, consulting witchdoctors to create those crazy earthquakes for Maison Mere arrivals in Paris in 1999, 2001 & 2002 and their big events) and ending up with nothing.

In 2000 it was reported that Suzuki,Lebou,Modogo and Depitsho wanted to return. In 2002 Champion, Modogo, Mamale, etc. all the big names you know.

The irony is that Werrason went through the trouble of making such a big deal of Kusungila's recruitment, but Patient would never record an album with Masion Mere. As the saying goes, don't count your chickens until they hatch...

As for the Quartier Latin members wanting to retour with Koffi circa 2000 to 2002, I think the Koffi was satisfied with the members he had. The end of 2000 saw the return of Bouro Mpela then after Effrakata, Titina joined the group.

I believe the third drummer you're talking about is Tshé-Tshé De Balle.

No, Tshe Tshe le Bslle was was still with Academia. It was a drummer who never had the chance to be known. He was there until 2008 and was mostly playing with the reserve-members.

Kusangila didn’t play on album because he got a stroke 4 months after having joined Maison Mere and fully recovered after Bercy. With him returning to Europe on his own,playing only one concert with them and then becoming a brother in Christ.

Kusangila joined Maison Mere when Solola Bien was already finished. He joined Maison Mere some weeks before their return to Kinshasa
