This album is so great - nice compositions, superb sound. It’s a shame Gina Wa Gina didn’t have a career like his Zaiko colleagues, though he was successful behind the scenes

That all because of his behaviour.

After being being sick for 3 years long, Gina Efonge decided to return to Zaiko in 1976, while everybody tought that he would join his friend Evoloko in Isifi Melodia. He participated to some songs and created his own dance siatapata. The he made some zong-zing songs with his friend Bozi Boziana who gained alot of succes. He then decided to form his own band Libanko. He wanted to take his friends Djo Mali and Bozi with them, but they didn't want to leave Zaiko. He had a band with talented musicians like Nene Tchakou, Monza 1er, Djo Batali, Bibisha Mukuna (riva menga's brother), Shimita El Diego, Djo Issa,  Egide (who would join later Grand Zaiko and be a famous session artist during the soukous era), etc. But his behaviour towards his own musicians wasn't normal. Like his friend Evoloko he liked to humilate his musicians and insulting them. Sometimes if he saw that their girlfriends =coming to see them rehearsing, he was then sending them to do the dishes. One day they performed in Mbandaka where Gina decided to abandon them, which meant the end of Libanko. After that he decided to join Evoloko in Isifi Melodia and shortly after that he went to Belgium and didn't comeback for a long time followed by Evoloko. He tried several time to make a comeback. In the late 80's he invited his friends Mavuela, Evoloko, Wemba & Manuaku to record an album called "Les Surdoues de Clan Langa Langa' to let their fans dream about that Quatro/ISIFI-era (1971-1973) when they were in Zaiko. In the mid 90's he reformed Libanko having musicians like JF IFonge and Cesar Loboko.

Les Quatro +1 was an excellent album. Elengui was my favorite song of the album. I was in London 3 days ago and could have uploaded the booklet of that album, Grand Job of Les Quatro, that of Force de Frappe, Wake Up, Loi and Anti Terro, but didn't because of the forum deleting pictures.

In the booklet of Les Quatro + 1, they showed on each pages the credits of each song (drums, lead, rhythm, bass, etc.) like in Fula Ngenge. Sec Bidens contributed alot in that album being many times credited as arranger and sometimes as composer.
