Live at Fikin just after the release of Anti Terro.

Anti Terro brought JB Mpiana really back, but did not really fill the exceptions of people, who were waiting for a new TH or Feux de L'Amour. JB Mpiana & Werrason had alot of power in Kinshasa, DR Congo, Angola & Congo Brazzaville in those days. Their concerts had always a big crowd. Will there a generation or an artist come who would have same big influence they had from the split of Wenge in 1997 until 2006 or let say to 2011 ?

I was thinking that the beef of JB vs Werra was over after singing Ezau, but their Fara Fara at Fikin 2005 said something different with Werrason later on JB's Ezau with the song Temoinage contradicting the things JB sung.

The FIKIN-concerts aren't the same anymore like in the past. FIKIN was already really a big mess since the lootings of 1991 and 1993 who brougt Zaïre really down which was already suffering since the economic crisis of 1973 and 1975 because of the Zairianisation. Before that FIKIN was from since its start 1969 until 1991 the "passage oblige" if you came to Kinshasa.

If you see the FIKIN now you can cry.

yeah i believe the political context has affected a lot, you'll see that many of the top musicians are prefering to go a month without concert instead of playing in "plan b" to the former places primus  vodacom and skol were organizing concerts in favour either of one VIP in front of grand hotel or shark club so they mock the likes of jb,heritier,fabro to name a few who accept performing in sebastien,club 155 and co saying it means they are finished since congolese fanbase is so obsessed about "plein" and "mpiaka"
a lot of people are also more focused on politics these days,while in the past music and sport were "the bit of joy" people were hanging on to in the already difficult life, but now it has gone too worse so they have lost some interest even on music and sports
also today musicians prefer those stupid daily beefs of internet than proper musical showdown like fikin used to be,the amount of real direct competition among the so called enemies  is ridiculously low compared to their bullshit

I prefer the rumba's and sebens of Internet, maybe also because of the animations Tutu & Gentamicine and the memories those sebenes gives about those LSC-concerts. J'Suis La, Ezau and Nungu Nungu were excellent, but the rest (Vicky Nsongi, Guy Mbuala and Clin d'Ouil) were rumba's about to forget. While on Internet all the 5 rumba's JB made on Internet were topnotch Sans Te Toucher, Consolation , Jeannette, Bea Zodeguem and Persecution. The rumba Tutu Calugi made (Tchico Londonien) was excellent. Internet had good songs like Love Airlines, Fleur d'Amour, Le Tenant du Titre and l'Espoir de Chicago. Internet is far and far better then Anti Terro. If only they recorded a better generique then the album would have been a classic of classic. It looks like both album were recorded to quickly or that they didn't got the time to concentrate.  I remember BCBG-fans forcing JB to release Anti Terro and saying that if Anti-Terro doesn't come out if he comes back South Africa that they would beat him and his band. I think that it was better for JB back in 2002 to work on record Chemin de Fer "11eme Commandement" first and later on Anti Terro.







With JB finally releasing Anti Terro, I thought that he would immediatly work on Chemin de Fer and hit us very hard like he did with TH and Feux d'Amour. But then the next year Kisindjora came on the tv saying that they were recording a maxi-single of 4 tracks called "Balle de Match" in the RTNC-studio, which had to give a foretaste of Chemin de Fer. Not long after that JB changed his view and sended his spokemen on tv to say that they were working on a band-album called Kipe Ya Yo with JB giving the musicians who hadn't the opportunity to put a song on Anti Terro a chance (Calugi, Rio, Seguin, etc.). But he posthened that album to 2006 and later 2007 hahahaha. I think that JB was keeping releasing maxi-singles/band albums, in the hope that it would be a massive succes like Titanic and Internet, so that Chemin de Fer would be a guaranteed succes. But he keeps failing. With Soyons Serieux coming out in 2011 and David Monsoh having as manager I was thinking that we would finally get Chemin de Fer, but now we are 7 years further.

JB Mpiana was lucky that Kipala Nzonzaku was huge succes, because he dissapeard a little after that Werrason, Koffi Olomide & Les Marquis released their albums in November and December 2004 with people quickly forgetting about Anti-Terro.

There were to much stops in that generique, which messed everything up. The generique  of Anti Terro is better that that of Internet. Back in the days people were mocking JB for that generique and prefering all Operation Dragon who was released 2/3 months earlier.

TH was JB's solo album and not a bandalbum. It's like you are comparing Solola Bien to Kibuisa Mpimpa or Ultimatum to Loi. But for me Jeannette and Sans Te Toucher are better than some rumba's of TH. Love Airlines is a sebene song. The rumba's JB put in Internet were to give a preview of Chemin de Fer, which he was calling then 11eme Commandement.

For me JB didn't waste alot time to record Anti Terro. It's just they restarted to concept when the Pipiyu left and don't forget that recording in Kinshasa in those days were very difficult with those studio's having poor conditions. With them waiting to get visa's to tour in Europe and finish the recordings, but the embassadies still refusing their request.When they were very advanced in the recordings, Alain Mpela decided to leave, while he had many vocals and 4 songs in that album. So they had to restart the recordings, recording a big part in South Africa. That's why it took 2 years to finish that album. The pressure of fans and donors was big to finish that album, which made them rush a littlebit to finish the album. This made JB always justifie in interviews the reason why his albums are always taking a long to be released, saying indirecly that they rushed to finish a album (Anti Terro) with on the end, the album not being received how it had to be. But he made the same mistake on Soyons Serieux hahahah. But Soyons Serieux's situation was strange. JB putted 3 top rumba's (Etoile du Berger, Bolonia & Gros Bebe Engobo), but when they released that album, people didn't pay a big attention which I found strange. Looks like their rivals cursed that album.

I also thought they could have incorperated more animations from Kilimanjaro, he had some good cries during his tenure with Wenge BCBG.

I saw him as a faux animateur after seeing other concerts were he was animating.

His voice wasn't good many times when he was animating and his voice didn't really fit with the sebene.
