Of all who departed or were left behind, I wish Spino Ladjatence, Clovis Nguma, and Mustapha remained in the group! Clovis was a better bassist than Binda, you could feel those strings when he played on Attentat. Spino and Mustapha were excellent vocalist, WAY BETTER than Gipson...who was inconsistant in quality.

Paparazzi Toto has been affilated with Koffi for so long but never had anything to show for his loyalty, I feel bad for the guy! Some of these guys are new names to me; Molayi Atalaku and Baguin Baguino.

As for Savanet Depitcho, he was stupid to think that AGB was going to work...it's just a band of pretty boys not actual singers smh

They just blindley copied the credits of Wikipedia and Discogs.

I saw the credits of Force de Frappe some days ago in the booklet of Force de Frappe and the line of that album was the same line-up of the goodbye-concert at LSC. The crazy thing is that they also credited Koffi Olomide as guitartist in that album. Philphe Guez is credited as arranger for almost every song. With above of the page being written the name of the author/composer and below of it "arranger par Philphe Guez". I think that Philphe Guez argued to not being credited engouh. I should have scanned the booklet of Force de Frappe. Maybe that he would get the chance to do it in September.

Ridens Makosso played lead on some songs Mea Culpa, Pragamatisme &  Au Secours, having finally gotten the chance to play lead after being years long in the shadow of Lebou Kabuya, Popolipo, & Felly Tyson, playing only rhythm or mi-solo. He was there in Quartier Latin already since 1996-97.

Sunda Bass left Quartier Latin a long time ago. He left in 1997 and joined Wenge BCBG when Wenge 4x4 just split with him joining fully joining BCBG in 1998 when they returned in Kinshasa. He was Quartier Latin's fifht bass-player behind Motingia, Binda Bass, Pathy Bass & Rockly Blanchard in 1997.

Poumpa Mystic joined Quartier Latin in 2002 when Koffi & QL were perfoming in all area of Kinshasa to promote Effrakata after that Stade des Martyrs-concert.

Fofo le Collegien was left behind in Kinshasa with Soleil, Do Akongo, Popolipo, etc. when Quartier Latin went to Bercy. Koffi prefered Deba O'Neill as rhythm-guitartist above him. Not being sure if he would return.

Christian na Nzenze joined the same moment with Ramazani in Kinshasa when Force de Frappe already finished. THey all just credited as musicians in the videoclips-VHS. Ondoma Motema rejoined Quartier Latin when finished their Europe-tour and started their African tour before returning in Kinshasa, Koffi didn't pay attention to him anymore when Christian na Nzenze joined with him being left behind Kinshasa when Quartier Latin went to their Zenith of 2001.

Bidjana and Bendoson left already before the recordings of Attentat.

Babia Ndonga didn't joined join Shora's band. He & Popolipo were just guest and were doing some nzong-zing here and there. He didn't have a band. He participated also to some concerts of Academia in Kinshasa and Anti-Choc of Bozi.

Paparazzi wasn't there for a long time. He joined Quartier Latin in 2000 after their Europe and African-tour. He came from Thythy Le Valois's band and that of Jolino if I remember well. But it was already clear that he and Alain Kabobo would ran away if Koffi would bring them to Europe. So Emeneya recruited him, when Koffi left in Kinshasa just to prove him a point and brought him to Zenith. He toured with Victoria 1 year long in Europe and then rejoined Quartier Latin when they started their Europe-tour, doing having some little vocals in concerts and participating to the recordings of Affaire d'Etat.

No, he saw Babia as his pire petit. Their relationship was special. Babia rejoined Quartier Latin when they returned in Kinshasa after that Europe-tour, but he wasn't the same guy anymore. His drugsaddication really killed with his ex'wife Nicky not helping either because she was also addicated to it.

I not understand why she's still walking with the name of Babia, while she and Babia divorced 10 years ago. With him starting a relationship with Almia Djamal. People totally forget about her, since that Nicke started to make video's with Kisindjora, Carine Mokonzi, etc. and being used as a puppet.

I would say that the two most important losses are Popolipo and Do Akongo and it is especially to Bercy that we feel the lack of these two guitarists. Listen to the concerts in Olympia in 1998 and Bercy in 2000 and you will see the difference. The sebenes of Bercy are much less powerful and the distortions of guitar are weaker. Although Tyson was experienced, he could not assure himself to reproduce powerful's guitar skills of Popolipo on the sebenes

I always thought the same about spino & mustapha but i think koffi doubt their loyalty. For a lot of musicians, bercy was a opportunity to stay in europe, so maybe its was a clue to get rid of opportunistic artists.

I also think popolipo & do akongo was a huge lost but it was an ego problem.

So poumpa mystic arrived around the same time of asso ngole?

I see force de frappe as an album of « bercy loyal artists » featuring montana kamenga.

If somebody can scan force de frappe booklet it would be dope, the booklet is very beautiful with bercy pictures & « tigers » designs.

The wait was worth it, because Ridens Makosso delievered some amazing sebenes for Koffi & Quartier Latin! I guess he must have gotten sidelined, because I never heard Koffi assign him praise on record like did Felly Tyson or Ramazani.

Generally speaking, Koffi made the right hunch when it came to leaving people behind in Kinshasa. The very people we would assume would have settled in Europe, ended up doing just so. Although he messed up sidelining Popolipo and Do Akongo.

As for Babia's ex wife, I'm sure money is a motivating factor to make those interviews.

I lot people doesn't know that Ridens Makosso is Nono Diamant's  brother. I think that Koffi prefered Ramazani above Ridens. In his song Mea Culpa, there was a moment that Koffi said "Allez Ridens buka ba gamme".

Yeah it was a big mistake of Koffi left leave Do Akongo & Popolipo. In the concerts of the Europe-tour of 2000 you could feel that something was missing. But Koffi made it up by recruiting Ramazani and having Fofo le Collegien in his band.

yes manicke has changed like this because of looking for money,at the beginning she looked like she got take a step back and think twice,she was saying she was making a fool of herself to pay prince's school fees aswell as her daughter anna but as time went on she went hardcore seeing that she gained support of a lot of people,and now she's used like a toy by people to attack others in exchange of a few dollar bills,some clothes to look  cleaner and some artists (or their staffs) using her with promise to send her to europe=

Didn't the orchestra spend several days rehearsing at the venue before the actual concert? I'm surprised that no one addressed the tuning of the guitars; you could hardly hear the rhythm guitar and the lead guitar wasn't sharp enough.

They could of worked around Do Akongo & Popolipo absence if they had better technicans for the concert.

I was always wondering who yaya londa was, because Madilu was always mentioning him in songs. I didn't knew that Fofo himself was goshtwriter, did he also give some songs to Koffi ? His song Inch'Allah was excellent. Fofo Le Collegien is a complete artist (bass, rhythm, mi-solo, solo, arrangement, composition).

Where ? At Bercy ? Yes. For me the sound was good, i liked the steinberger-guitar soung. But it was just that sometime was missing when they were playing sebene. That rhythm partition of Deba O'Neill was cool, but he kept playing it everytime. It would be better if he had brought Janvier Okota instead of him, because he's an excellent rhythm-player, he also knows to play lead. I think that Koffi's love for Deba was to big and thougt that Janvier would ran away, despite having played some years for Bozi Boziana. Felly Tyson and Ridens Makosso are good guitarists, but Beniko Popolipo & Lebou Kabuya were completing them. Lebou left a big void, but people didn't notice it since that people focuse more on the singers. People started only noticing it when Popolipo was missing, who was covering the void left by Lebou and who was directing all the guitarists of QL.
