no, in 2010 he went back for some concerts in Kinshasa and he performed at Grand Hotel.

The first time I heard that song was when he came for an interview with Jacky Ndala singing it along with Jean Goubald during the time that he was suspended for 3 months. People found it strange that he was already singing his next song, while Koffi was preparing Sol Mineur (which was an maxi-single meant to present les mineurs de ql,who never came) & his solo album B.E.K.. This all made people speculating about Soleil preparing a solo album and not long after he left QL, calling is album then 'Open Day' before changing it in 'Apres Toi'.


I excepted more from Soleil. I thought that he would fight for that 3th place of G5 with Didier Lacoste behind Fally & Ferre. His album was in 2009 one of the most awaited albums along with Qui est Derrier Toi & Arsenal des Belles Melodies.

What I regret from G5 is that they didn't had two or three bands having succes, or a collective of 4 singers (Soleil, Lacoste, Fally and Baby Ndombe for example) teaming up together to record an album, like Les Quatro and many others did. Back in 2007 when the G5-revolution really started, I tought that they would change many things in the Congolese-music scene, but they have done not something special and they made it worser than it was.

Soleil let me down, everyone had high hopes from him especially with his work in effrakata and monde arabe.... why did koffi suspend him?

Shame he never capitalized on momentum; kind of like the rest of Euro based gen 2 QL members not named Fally or Ferre

 i think most of them wanted so hard to cement european papers and come back at beginning but once they settled either it did not come quickly or it came but either they got too used and too comfortable in europe or they lost confidence given how quick fally and ferre who they wanted to challenge advanced surely they said to themselves its a lost cause especially as leading a group is a big headache so much things to deal with
luckily for them,fally did so well that nobody says that amount of  succesful "children" koffi has is ridiculously low for the amount of guys who were made proper stars under his wings
