I forgot Koffi had penned the song “Musulman” waaaayyy before Monde Arabe came out. Also, you guys remember that Koffi had planned to do 3 nights of Olympia in June 2002? Obviously it didn’t happen

Oh snap! All these years, I never noticed how old some of these songs are before they're properly recorded. Koffi is one hell of a songwriter, the man never ceases to amaze me with his output!

Thats normal Koffi is not the only one, all Congolese artists were working that way in that era (JB Mpiana, Werrason, Emeneya, Marie Paul, Papa Wemba, etc. the list is long) many songs didn’t got the chance to be recorded or to be released on cd. All of them have more than 30+ not released songs at home.

Don't forget that all Congolese artists were preparing songs for their next solo album when their band is working on the band album. Koffi released Attentat in 1999 so he started already working on the songs of Effrakata, when Champion, Felly Tyson, Fally were working for the songs in Force de Frappe.

For example Koffi started already sing extrats of Bambino in concerts before the recording/release of Magie. He did the same with the song Non Assistance of the Attentat-album. I remember him singing Non Assistance in an interview with Zacharie Bababaswe the next day after his show at Olympia. Also for the songs BB Gout & Plat Favori which he started singing when they were working on Danger de Mort. Werrason sung Demi Tour in the studio with Ferre when they were working on A La Que Leu Leu. So it's not something special.

Its sad that they never release or leak songs that dont make the final cut. I dont think the 16 songs in effrakata were the only ones made for the album.

It was finished, but there was not a place on the cd since that they only had 80 minutes on one cd. There were 3 or 4 songs who didn’t make it on the cd. There was also a song called Verite which was like Parking Ya Baba, Evangile, Droit de l’Homme, etc. about that he didn’t do something wrong, that people are jealous of him bla bla bla....
