Another excellent song of Marie Paul. He paid also  tribune to people who died (Pepe Kalle, Blaise Kombo, etc.). Marie Paul really gave the best of himself on Ko Debout & Eboulement. But it was on the wrong moment.

If I remember correctly, KO Debout was one of the first Congolese double CDs, alongside Attentat, TH, A La Une and others. Judging by the length of this song and the other ones Afrocult has already posted, I can safely assume that the first disc alone is an hour long. Even more reason to think about what could've been for Marie Paul back then.

Yeah, the first double cd-ever was Emeneya’s Mboka-Mboka (1998) which were remix songs of Succes Fous and 2 old Victoria Eleison hits. Those songs were 20 min long lol. But people didn’t noticed since that there wasn’t alot attention to him like Wenge, Koffi & Wemba. I guess that he didn’t made alot of noise about that. The second was Attentat “l’Integral” which people consider as first double cd. Because of Koffi making alot noise about that in the media that he was the first Congolese artist to do that, while it wasn’t true. Then T.H., A La Une and the rest.

Well, I did say one of the first. Emeneya made history 20 years ago with Mboka Mboka and started a new age of double CDs. Can't forget that. I heard that album was rather successful in Kin, so how come people forgot about that album when Koffi released Attentat?

I guess that the people didn’t notice that. Back in those days buying cd’s was very expensive in Kinshasa with people prefering to buy cassettes. The album came out some months before the polemic-era 1998-2006. Before that era people didn’t brag about themselves. It were Maison Mere, BCBG and Koffi after his shows at Olympia & Zenith who came with that. About Attentat it’s just Koffi making alot noise about it after the bad decision of Sono to release Version Radio.
