Working with Koffi Olomide gave him more notority with all big artists of Central Africa wanting to work with after that he started to become hard to find recordlabels because of piracy and closing of alot recordinglabels (JPS, Sono/Next Music, etc.). But on the same time it smees that it killed his business and that he lost alot of money. Because Werrason, Extra Musica, etc. were all complaining of bad promotion of their albums, that the DVD of their videoclips were released to late (The videoclips of Temoinage were released 7 months later while it had to be released on the same with the cd) and many other points of their contracts not being respected.



King Kester Emeneya used to attack Koffi indirectly for killing the bussiness, when he was looking a musiclabel for Le Jour le Plus Long with Somina then refusing to produce because of not having alot money. So had he released Danger de Mort in October 2006, but two months later Koffi released SWI with another producer and Somina being fed up, deciding then to sue him. He had already lost alot of money with Monde Arabe who didn't sold the amount that they excepted with also rumors going from right to left that Koffi was selling Monde Arabe and Danger de Mort on the black-market. I remember a article being written by Congo2000 and Digitalcongo that Papa Wemba and Koffi fired in 2003 by Next Music for those practices, but then returning after a mediation with Tabu Ley who was the co-founder of Sonodisc and the label then declared bankrupt two months later. Apprently due to Nico Kassanda's family sueing the label for not paid royalties since the 70s.

In my opinion, Sonima Music remains of the worst music producers. The clips for Temoinage were embarrasingly put together, perhaps the only well made clip was for the following songs:

The rest suffer from manic editing and boring scenery.

Back in those days muisclabels didn’t really care about the videoclips. Most people weren’t even complaining about those videoclips, only people who were born and raised in Europe. Congolese people were liking those videoclips, because it was a kind of Cribs lol with them discussing about the cars and houses of Koffi Olomide & Werrason. Musiclabels who were working with Congolese artists  were only focused on the recording and promotion of the album and the promotion of the dvd. But not the direction of those videoclips. Most videoclips were directed by the leaders themselves and the generics often being directed by Didier Ndenga.  Didn’t you see the way Werrason directed the videoclip of Ca Sonne and then humilating Roi David in the making-off. In those days it was very expensive to record excellent videoclips. Today it’s very easy to do that. It’s only after Fally’s Droit Chemin that musiclabels  started to put alot of money to record good videoclips, but they were then releasing the DVD in 2 parts with the second part being released 2 years later after that when the label would gettheir money back trought those DVD-sales of the first volume. Everybody started working with Boss Playa Music who made Fally’s videoclips of Droit Chemin. Sonima also worked with Boss Playa. He worked them on La Main Noire. Recording for them La Main Noire, Dou Gaulois & Mban Antoine.
