I am checking the news and they have said that in DRC internet is missing and that Kabila and his staff posticipate the results of the elections because he lost very very very bad, so my question is how it is the situation in Congo and will ever be a change? I mean will finally Kabila accepts that the people doesn't want him and he will step down? Because I think that Congolese people are so fed up that it Kabila might end up like Mobutu who was forced to runaway in Morocco

The result was supposed to be published last Sunday but it got postponed. Reason they gave was, they haven’t finish counting the votes...in another word, they haven’t finish collecting fake ballot to give Shadary the advantage and therefore for Kabila to continue to run Congo through Shadary.

The problem with Kabila is that he's scared to lose all the money he had the past 18 years, that he had to the prison of The Hague where Bemba used to be. That's also why he kept saying in interviews that he will be killed with a bullet in his head. He trust nobody and wants his family to save. But he's not realizing that he's making it worser the longer he is in power. He is very scared to be juged for all the crimes he made, by killing innocent people, influent politicians, those massacres he made in Equateur, Kivu, Kasai (2016, 2017)with Kamuina Nsapu, Kongo Central (2006) to fight BDK, Kinshasa (2006, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017). He don't want to be juged alone. He says that it wasn't is fault and that he was influenced by those people who used to work with Mobutu. The people who are behind him since 2003 are those who used to work with Mobutu. Belgium said to him that it was better to have people behind him who had some experience in politics. So in 2003 alot of ex'Mobutists returned from exil and started to work with Kabila. If you rememeber well in 2001, he said that he would stay until 2005 in power and gave then the power back to the population by organising elections. But those ex'Mobutists wanted him to stay in power, so he participated to the elections and they also changed the constitution for him by, because he was to young to participate to the elections. In reality he lost the 2006 elections, because people of Western Congo (Kinshasa, Equateur, Bandundu, Bas Congo and Kasai) didn't like him. But he won because of Europeans prefering him above Bemba to protect their interests in Congo. Then from 2006 it started to become very worse with doing alot of crimes. We all saw how he killed Chebeya who knew alot secrets about him (for example the killing of Aime Kabila, LD Kabila's daugther) or the killing of Armand Tungulu. This all wouldn't happen if Etienne Tshisekedi accepted to participate to the 2006-elections instead of boycotting it. People used then to say that he was influenced by Belgium to not participate and that they gave him money by PPRD-officials. With Tshisekedi then saying that couldn't participate to elections with a forgeiner. Then he started slowly to retire from the policital scene with everybody being sure that the elections of 2011 would be Kamerhe vs Kabila and that Kabila wouldn't get problems. But then suddenly in 2010 Tshisekedi made a statement that he would participate to the elections of 2011 and some rumors of Belgium having influenced him again, because of being angry that Kabila gave alot of interests to China. With Kabila's camp being scared and changing the constitution by the elections only getting one round, in hope that Kabila would win with a litte percentage above Tshisekedi and Kamerhe. Tshisekedi won then the elections of 2011, but Kabila's made a big fraud and corrupted pastor Ngoy Mulunda like they did to Apollinaire Malu Malu in 2006. From 2014 they started to do everything to change the constitution, so that Kabila could stay longer in power. But it didn't work because of the pression of Western countries and people in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Kisangani and other cities keeping protesting. With them deliberately not organising elections in 2016 and 2017.

Hahaha never. When he came in power in 2001 all tribal chief of Katanga gave those spiritual power. The same year he went to Nkamba where the religious of the Kimbanguist Chruch gave him some power. He became stronger and stronger by getting support of tribal chief of Kasai, Kivu, Bandundu, Kinshasa, etc. Adding also those mystical powers of China, Europe, etc. Consulting magicians, etc. Kinshasa is now the capital of magic, you can't do politics, music, big bussiness now without that. Every week in the Congo there are scandals about corpses dissapearing and then suddenly being dumped before the hospital with doctors discovering that somebody had sex with the corpse. Or politicians, musicians, pastors, etc. visiting tombs and doing incantations there, sacrifies, etc.

If you are close to people of PPRD/FCC and the world of politicis. You will hear multipels nasty stories about Kabila, Kimbuta, Mende, etc. They can't sleep anymore apprently and use strong drugs to forgot all those nasty things they have to do every week/day.

All influent tribal chiefs are living well in Kinshasa, are sleeping every day at Hotel du Fleuve with beautifel girls and getting alot of money of Kabila. Nobody can attack Kabila spiritually from nowhere.

O.O so Kabila lost elections already twice and now a third, man this is so sad, why musicians do not go to spiritual master to attack him, my God these are the people you have to attack , and Belgians also, why if powerful politicians from the oppposition and powerful musicians do not attack spiritually Belgian peoolple?

Looks like I'll have to wait a few more years to visit Kin. The way things are going, it's just too dangerous with Kabila basically thinking he's God.

KINSHASA (Reuters) - Riot police deployed at the electoral commission headquarters in Kinshasa on Wednesday amid fears of a disputed result in a Democratic Republic of Congo presidential election marked by accusations of vote fraud.

The tally could be announced later in the day after the commission met all night and into the morning.

Police also took up positions along the city’s main boulevard, as Congolese fretted about possible violence amid suspicions that the government was negotiating a power-sharing deal with one opposition candidate.

The Dec. 30 poll was meant to lead to the vast Central African country’s first democratic transfer of power in its 59 years of independence, but a disputed result could trigger the kind of violence that erupted after the 2006 and 2011 elections and destabilise Congo’s volatile eastern borderlands.

The commission (CENI) announced on Tuesday evening it had initiated “a series of evaluation meetings and deliberations, at the end of which it will proceed to the publication of provisional results from the presidential election”.

A CENI source and a diplomat said they expected results to be announced later on Wednesday. Another diplomat, however, said that not all the vote tallying had been completed and that the announcement might have to wait until Thursday.

Kinshasa residents went about their normal activities, but some parents kept their children home from school. People were back on the streets too in the eastern city of Goma, which were deserted on Tuesday evening after a rumour spread that the announcement was imminent.

Even so, some Congolese said they were gearing up for potential unrest.

“Everyone ... voted against the government in place. We are preparing fully to demand victory if it is stolen from us,” said Augustin Bujiriri, a 25-year-old student in Goma.

The results were originally due last Sunday but were postponed due to delays tallying the vote.

President Joseph Kabila is due to leave office this month after 18 years in power - and two years after the official end of his mandate. He backed his former interior minister, Emmanuel Ramazani Shadary, in the election.

Shadary was competing against two main opposition candidates, businessman Martin Fayulu and Felix Tshisekedi, the president of Congo’s largest opposition party.

Tshisekedi’s camp, which says it expects to win, said on Tuesday that it had met with Kabila’s representatives to ensure a peaceful transfer of power, although Kabila’s camp denied any such meetings had occurred.

Supporters of Fayulu, who had a healthy pre-election poll lead, have voiced suspicions that Kabila may be looking to negotiate a power-sharing agreement with Tshisekedi if Shadary loses.

On Tuesday, Fayulu and six other presidential candidates issued a statement saying that the results “cannot be negotiated”.
