It was politics and in politics you win or lose for political reasons only. It's commendable that he accepts he lost which is very rare in African politics where nobody ever admits defeat.

Being a deputy (member of the parliament) is not about managing people, but about voting laws, representing your region in the parliament, you are also able to force a minister to resign of his functions (which is rare in Africa, Gecoco tried to do that with the prime minister Adolphe Muzito, but it didn’t happen and Emeneya defending then Muzito on tv as a spokemen just for matolo, while everybody know that he stole the most money when he was Kabila’s prime minister. I am sorry for Ngiama Nöel Makanda the person but honestly it is better like that, Werra never talked once about what he wanted to make for the people but only wanted power for himself, and I think this is a huge bath of humility for how he have treated people throughout the years (Mboka Liya, Ali Mbonda, Manda Chante and so on) l. Maybe this experience will make him understand how his employees might feel when he pays them llittle scream at them or belittles them.
