One of the biggest what ifs, if they managed to do one more koffi album altogether and what it would sound like. But yes danger de mort is the weakest and overhyped QL album even though the sound was on point.

Sound quality was real good, why did Koffi shout out Ferre's ex-wife like that? Haha Poumpa looks real young.

If Koffi didn't leave Beniko and Do Akongo behind then Jordan Kusa and Ridens Makosso wouldn't get songs on Force de Frappe. We wouldn't discover the talents of Ridens Makosso as a solist and it would be sure that Koffi would leave Ridens again behind in Kinshasa. But on the other side Beniko and Do Akongo add song and maybe we get again an excellent rumba's from Do Akongo like Spaghetti, Fois Centa and Sens Inverse.

Ultimatum of 1996 would sound very different from Ultimatum 1997. On the version of 1996 we had both Champion and Coco Tchomba on the drums. On the bass we had Pathy Bass and Rocky Blanchard with Lebou Kabuya playing lead on some songs. The chorus would be almost the same like Magie, because we Babia Ndonga, Eric Tutsi, Willy Bula, Modogo Ambarambwa, Suzuki Luzubu, Eric Tutsi and Sam Tshintu participated (Bouro didn't join yet). We would hear the same songs of the 1996 version (except Dessin Anime) plus Babia's song and Zahina which was then a duet of Koffi and Babia.

Thinking back about Tabu Ley's interview, I don't think that it would change anything. Because if I remember well Koffi already finished recording Monde Arabe, but he couldn't return back to Europe for months, to mix Monde Arabe. Because of Zobozi, two female dancers and two bodyguards having sued him in Kinshasa with his passeport being seized. Also back in 2003, Koffi Olomide said that Monde Arabe would be very different from all albums he made in the past (Effrakata, Loi, etc.) adding also that solo-artists have to sing and to let atalaku's do all the job (an attack towards Werrason) and that Monde Arabe would be a revolutionary album with him singing alot, so he made already indirectly clear that he would go back to his roots. Another thing was that Werrason didn't release his album yet and JB Mpiana neither so there was not someone who could give some inspiration like he used to do with Effrakata, Loi, Magie, etc., dictating then his atalaku's, guitarists, drummers in which style to play and on the end guys like Werrason, Emeneya, Nyoka Longo being pissed of to hear their animations in his albums. Back in 2001 he used to give Brigade and Kerozene videos of Wenge Maison Mere and said to then to copy Bill Clinton & Celeo with them training very hard to do that and Kerozene trying to turn and fall on stage like Bill used to do. I almost forget in Monde Arabe, Koffi used Emeneya's dance and animation enterrement which was a huge succes in Kinshasa. It pissed Emeneya off, but the animation hadn't a big impact in his album.

 It wasn't because of Koffi that "sebene" was killed, after Monde Arabe we had several albums with alot of sebene Felix Wazekwa with Faux Mutu Moko Boye, Werrason with Temoinage, etc. It just that the succes of Fally Ipupa's Droit Chemin and Ferre Gola's Sens Interdite made the orginal masters of sebene (Werrason & JB Mpiana) switch to rumba. Y'all got to stop blaming Koffi. If Ferre decided to make Sens Interdite an sebene album then the things could have been a little bit different after 2007. The impact the two albums were so big that everybody was forced to follow that way, like in 90's everybody was forced to follow Wenge 4x4's way. Another point is that people started to be tired to hear sebene, because there wasn't alot of innovation since 2002/03 with even RFI, Africa N1 starting critizing Koffi Olomide, Werrason and Zaiko about that. I remember RFI having posted an article about them critizing Affaire d'Etat and Eureka very hard, saying that it could be the end of the succes of Congolese music in Europe and it also happened. Papa Wemba & Koffi Olomide weren't able to fill Zenith like they used to do and the same year Coupe Decale came which was very innovative. With an campaign starting in the African press by journalists coming West-Africa to stop promoting Congolese music and nightclubs also following that way. That's also one of the original reasons why they creating Maisha Parc, but Koffi, Wemba, JB ruined it by seeing it as bussiness to get monthly some money from politicians of Kabila's regime, while the Maisha Parc-project could have change the life of all the musicians in DR Congo even those living the other cities. Imagine those bars, radio's, tv-channels, beer and telephone-companites (Vodacom, etc.) finally paying those taxes, then Congolese artists would be millionares, they wouldn't have been forced do matolo and tour in Europe even if it isn't necessary, etc. But Koffi and co were so selfish and look now how poor Congolese artists are suffering now since that they aren't able to perform in Europe again. They perform now for two Coca-Cola bottles as admission prices, people not even showing for free open-air concerts and artists being forced to give invitations for VIP Concerts.

Thinking about the album-title "Danger de Mort", it made me think about the a sketch comedian Sai Sai did about albumtitles in 2004. Because Danger de Mort means Danger of Death and we all saw how all alot of members left (Ferre Gola, Fally Ipupa, Soleil Wanga, etc.) and how Koffi went down in that period, saying that his career was over.
