@mvulusi96Would he have been able to fill the hall? I'm not sure...
@mvulusi96Felix Wazekwa should have been more aggresive promoting his albums; the majority of his albums have that minimalist production that's great for live performances. He never played Bercy, LSC, or Olympia which is a shame because his old team could have been as big or bigger than Wenge and Quartier Latin if he was an aggressive promoter.Did his group played at Parc des Princes? Because Papy Louange were mentioned the venue in Le Corps Humain around the 6 minute mark when he was switching between Gessac with animations. By the way, what is that cry at the end mean? Is he saying mboka mundele? It's hard to keep up with Lingala when atalaku talks because it so fast lol
Some pics of Parc des Princes during concerts. There isn't an African solo artist or band that performed there and I don't think that it will happen in future with the new Paris La Defense Arena-stadium (also called Arena 92) of 40.000 seats which is easier to fill and Stade de France which has more status. The direction didn't want to let Koffi Olomide performed there, so how could Felix Wazekwa there lol. Princes des Princes is a very mythic stadium because of the soccer-team Paris Saint Germain and historic concerts of Michael Jackson, Johny Hallyday, U2 & Rolling Stones. It used to be also France's national stadium until 1997, when the then new built Stade de France came for the World Cup 1998.
Kassav have perfomed at Stade France.Koffi maybe the funds were not there. Can any business organisation have a stadium doing nothing because the singer is from Africa dont think so.
