Am I wrong or most of the biggest Congolese artists do not have an official website outside of Instagram and FB. You might think that it is not that important, but more than promotion what is making a lot of money for the artists is branding, clothes, hats, gadget and knowing how much influential they are I think they are missing a lot of money, yes I know Congolese people usually do not care and usually do not have that much internet, but I think that leaders are missing mpst of the money out there.

Websites not as much. The issue is that they aren't marketing properly. I've followed this for many years being a congolese fan. Yes early 2000s websites were needed. Many had nothing.but today Instagram ( mostly) and Facebook can grow you significantly. I am in college and we evaluate alot of these things. The congolese have really failed outside of the music part. Most of the music is unknown to many and these days my peers I meet know more about the Nigerian music movement than they do congolese. Ugandan music is gaining more traction than congolese. Right now they are doing this right at all!!!

In today's world of streaming congolese should be taking a major advantage of this. Trying to get exposure. The music is unique and one of it's kind.
