what he wanted to say in his rant in better words that its anormal that somebody like reddy who have been used to europe system is shocked with somebody getting credit as a song writer for a big star,because even in france where he lives the biggest star johnny halliday wrote himself only 12 or so of the 500+ songs and not only is he shocked but keeps attacking somebody for 5 years in a row over that,so he just had enough of it because he did nothing wrong,its actually papa wemba himself who started leaking the fact the songs were wazekwa's way before he became a professional artist,so he struggles to understand why somebody who is living in one of the most modern parts in the world still has the old outdated mentality of decades ago where it was still a massive taboo and even in viva when you join you had to give songs but never talk about it,but those days are over since papa wemba in his last decades of life credited a whole lot of writers(karmapa,wazekwa,senado,didier milla,yvon moumpala,djodjo lina to name a few)
he reveals his first clash with reddy was at a reunion with minister of culture(alongside reddy,tshala muana,werrason,manda chante,jb mpiana,verckys,koffi...) and he raised his hand to talk and said to minister that he should not be afraid to pick up calls from musicians,since they had it hard to talk to him let alone have that opportunity of reunion, he should know that musicians are not always calling him to ask money but sometimes they can give ideasfor example in term of sales control and so on and reddy stood up and furiously shouted at wazekwa " do you know that we might not get money for gas after saying such things"(when artists visit authorities in most of the cases at least half of them target money and they all end up getting at least some money " for their car gas" which can fill the tank 5 to 10 times) and wazekwa being one of the musicians known among them who cant stand childish behavior about money of his colleagues(along with late kester and sometimes jb when he decides to talk,as he usually speaks the least along with karmapa) warned him and told him they'll have a clear chat about his bad behavior outside but he disappeared and ever since that reddy had been throwing shade at him at any occasion
he is then asked to talk more about his song writing days and says it started in 1990 with koffi and adds he is not too keen to talk about koffi because whatever he says is always badly seen and refusing to answer about him is even worse,but he had some good memories about those moments and they falled out because of the fact he gave songs to papa wemba,and he says he was happy that papa paid him very well but was hoping that he'll get a shoutout on a song so that people can already hear his name before eventually starting career,while koffi put his name of cd sleeves only which people do not care about
so what happened is that when koffi and papa wemba made peace koffi told papa wemba not to accept any wazekwa songs on the wake up project which happened but their love story did not last long and while he worked again with papa wemba he got encouraged to record an album by papa who said "you play guitar well,you sing well,you respect notes,so go ahead and record something for yourself,i will help you on two songs" and thats what happened
and he will always have great memories of papa wemba and he reveals for example that he did one of papa wemba's classics reference in three days and that 10 eme commandement was one of the last two songs he presented to papa wemba for that album but it ended up being one of the biggest hits
he says koffi and wemba were huge stars before he worked with them,so he never considered having "made" them or whatever like that,and it justed that papa wemba was facing a difficult period at national level with a lot of congolese people not fancying then too much the emotion album(most of the "international" albums in congolese music have received at best mixed reactions since the days of abeti,kester with nzinzi,wemba,even fally these days) so he wanted to revert to typical viva la musica style but was struggleing to find producer and a lot of people doubting him so as a sign of love to papa he gave him the very best songs he had at his disposal at that time and thankfully it worked wonders,due to papa being such a fantastic singer
and he talked about reddy saying he still is pissed and wants to deal with reddy,because he is not a hypocritical person who will fake things,gloria asks but dont you see that people will think you are troublesome since you have beef with koffi and now reddy,and he says not only them and that in the past he used to have a bit of issues with karmapa who dissed him as he was advised that he had to have a rival to get people's attention,and werra who badly treated his ex-friend cafe etienne tshimanga who came to a werra concert but happened to have similar outfit as werra but then in both cases when his vieux karmapa(who is 4 years older) understood he could not attack his brother who did nothing to him things came back to normal,and for werra he understood that maybe it was not werra himself but the admins who did that to "protect" werra and until today he has fantastic relationship with them both
