My god... if I knew I was going to a Tokoos Live concert in acoustic with a skeleton F’Victeam band I would’ve stayed home and not wasted $200 and 5 hours.

Weakest concert I’ve been to for a big star by a long shot. Him giving a birthday shoutout to Koffi made me missed Koffi in his prime - he didn’t disappoint his audiences. Too much people standing around for a Congolese concert. 

The concert actually started with an instrumental of Sweet Live for 15 minutes (I kid you not) because he was running late. No sebene until 6-7 songs after, which was Original - don’t really count that as a sebene either.

The sound was poor as if none of the instruments were tuned at all. The solo was completely inaudible and Fally’s mic wasn’t working when he first came on stage.

The concert was abruptly cut short at 23:15 - incidentally with the Droit Chemin sebene playing. He said a quick bye and left. Some women were disappointed because he didn’t play some of the songs they wanted.

Since the sound was bad Im not going to upload clips on my YT channel like I did his last NYC concert ls 2 years ago.

Two positives:
Arnaud Madruma did a good job on drums and some of the women in attendance were extremely fine.

I mean, just look at who he selected

Please note, I tried not to sound like a “hater”, but the very concert was just disappointing overall. Just a lack of creative effort and professionalism from a big star like him. Waste of an iconic venue

My cousin told me the EXACT same thing. I’m worried about the Bercy concert now especially if he selects the same lineup. Looks like Jdog called it right

I'm glad I never decided to go to one of his concerts. I want to hear sebenes like the old days. That is sad. Especially for $200.

Bro, Bercy will be a another waste of a venue. His creativity limitations were on full display last night. I’m probably going to sell or get a refund for my ticket

When you go to a concert and end up liking the artist less than afterwards then there is a huge problem. He’s lost motivation and wasn’t even trying.

I also got annoyed when he went on and on with the El Marabiocho... el picici.. and so forth nonsense. And if you’re asking the crowd « Est-ce que ça va » after every song it means something is not clicking.

I paid for second row seats then the MC  said everyone can come to the front next to center stage and stand before he got on stage, which made me think “why the hell did I pay so much for these seats”. Never again.

Next time I want to see Ferre, Héritier, or even Fabregas perform here with the same opportunities they’re not getting. Below are how concerts are supposed to be organized

One of my other relatives bought us tickets to Bercy after hearing you and my cousin talk about this show and seeing how monotonous and boring Fallys shows have become I might have to sell my ticket or give it to someone else.

It’s a USA tour.... this review is based off of one show... I’m sure with Bercy he has to put his all into this performance.... Most US promoters for the African acts don’t respect African artist, almost like a brush off; sadly... I’m sure when he performs in Cedar Rapids some bullshit will happen with the promoters and organizers.

his fans are praising him on facebook and youtube, like it was the best show ever and facebook-pages like La Mama are mocking Ferre Gola for performing at weddings (calling it Stade de France) and JB Mpiana performing at fancy-fairs.

I think that Fally Ipupa main goal was just to sold out the Apollo Theater. Fally lacks motivation because there isn't really someone who could challenge him. He's already dominating Congolese music-scene 5 years long without any competition. If won those BET Awards back in 2015 and received a gold record for the Tokooos-album then we would not have drinked water. Things would have been different if Ferre Gola and Heritier Wantanabe could perform in Europe. I think that he still sticks with Atele and co, because nobody openly complains about his musicians and no one of those youtube-journalists make those analyse-videos (Vicent Tshiluizi, Franck Stemay, Ken Mpiana, etc.) about it. Also most people don't really care about that, they only focus on Fally.

i dont understand why a  majority of current media and social pages boost fally even more like that,just by 2013 the guy had a career millions of artists would dream of,he did not need extra support from those things to show how good his career has been so far, and even more of belittling other artists to praise him even more,thats very very very low,but he does like it himself and pays some of them
the guy could retire now if he wants having done a looot of good things but does he really need that
yeah people do not realise it but competition makes good thing you do even more special,you'll see that atele and co will return in a very different way to for example how maison mere returned from bercy tour,because there is not another person who went toe to toe with them,fally's fans are bragging about his supremacy but they are not realising it is losing his "flavor" because he is too much in a world of his own
