I got a heated question. Some people will hate it. Do you think that Celeo Scram would have fitted in Quartier Latin. I only ask because I think Celeo Scram sounded similar to Mposhi except Celeo's voice was more crystal clear than Mposhi's voice was more rougher. Also Celeo Scram did a collaboration song with Koffi Olomide which was nice to hear. Mposhi and Celeo Scram were part of the Tutu Callugi School.

I guess you’re right, but all those guys had to adapt to fit in QL. Some of the names you listed were successful, others weren’t. In WMM for example they could be themselves

Celeo was hardcore Représentant de Bandalungwa and still is, with the likes of the legend Bokuta Mpongo aka bandal.com kiekie

Celeo Scram would have fitted quite well with Quartier Latin, because he has the charisma on stage that Koffi likes (Fally & Savanet) while having a hard work ethic to consistently give something interesting to the music (remember Mboshi stole a bit of his animations that was on Droit de Veto).

After the era of animating like Callugi ended, Mboshi couldn't keep up in terms of creativity. But Celeo Scram managed to adapt with Kibusia Mpimpa and kept us dancing with great cries until Tosa Olia.

yes of course, tenor-atalaku's have it always done well in Quartier Latin. Back in 2007, Koffi offered Celeo some money to join Quartier Latin when he just left, but he refused.

Mboshi was still creative, but the problem was that Academia was about to disband. The generic of Quartre Coins Kandala was well received in Kinshasa. He tried to rejoin Quartier Latin in Europe during the Monde Arabe-era, but Fally refused, saying that he had not the right to rejoin because he betrayed Koffi by joining Academia. Then he participated to Sexy Chocolate, but that album flopped. But when he rejoined he proved that he was still the same guy with the crie "Shofele, nazo kita.." which was one of the most best received cri of that album. He was forming a good duo with Gessac until that Koffi Olomide fired him for having visited Fally at his house or something like that.

Voilà thank you. People sleep on Mboshi way too much I’ve noticed recently.

Yeah, the only problem he was like 10 years older than Apocalyps and people in Europe seeing their combo as weird because of Mboshi being from the Olympia-generation. Apocalyps himself was disrespecting Mboshi sometimes in concerts, throwing some shots and interrupting him while animating, by saying "now its the era of Apocalyps" and starting with the ntaba-animation.
