Kilimandjaro was actually doing good. He was doing great. So sad that he never had a chance to really shine.

Kilimanjaro had the natural talent to be a atalaku, but the hunger to be the best wasn't in him like his brother Bill. That's why he never bothered to return to Kinshasa after Pipiyus and salvage his career. What do you guys think?

It is hard to have the hunger when your brother is Bill.
I mean in Congese families the guy or the girl who makes the most money is loved and cherished like a King or a Queen while the other members of the family are treated normal. I thinkthat Kilimandjaro simply didn't care aboit the Atalaku career or music career in general seeing his family already living good thanks to Bill

They both animated in the Pipiyu-album "Positiv Energy" which came out in 2003 produced by Martin Mapangu. The thing that I didn't understand was that Kerozene then animated the whole generique by himself.

Ndeko kero was not anymore there i think in herve,i hear john scott with a rougher voice and his "bosakanaka na ba animateur boko yoka eloko" which he repeated in many generiques,i believe he was already with les marquis then with jdt (i remember he arrived in les marquis even before bill went to kin)

 Kerozene was in reality already from the start in the Les Marquis. He came to do test, but he kind of disrespected Bill Clinton when Bill was about to make some remarks about the way he was animating. It made Bill so furious that ordered everybody to stop rehearsing with Kerozene not being accepted as official members, but he was still close to JDT, appearing in the Ecole-videoclip. Then when Bill and Ferre went to Kinshasa he officially joined Les Marquis, performing with Celezino, Japonais and co at LSC.

Kerozene was an official member of Pipiyu member. They gave one concert concert if I remember well. But Pipiyu disbanded very quickly so tried to join Les Marquis, but it didn't work so he rejoined Quartier Latin for some weeks participating also to the Monde Arabe-recording sessions and joined then JDT when Bill and Ferre left.

Why did Les Pipiyus break up so fast? I'm not sure if this is true, but I heard the split was because of fights over leadership in the group between Chikito Mutakatif and Didi Kalombo.

Just to be clear, did Bebe Kero join Les Marquis after Miracles was recorded or was he blocked by Bill Clinton from recording with the group?

He wasn't accepted when the band was created by Bill Clinton because of his behavior. So he joined with Diamant Vert when Bill and Ferre went to Kinshasa because there wasn't an atalaku anymore in Les Marquis who could animate for their concert at LSC.

Les Pipiyu split because of those leadership war but I don't know who were fighting about it. I didn't hear anything about Chikito Mutakatif until he performed with Koffi at Elysee Montmarte back in 2007 with Felly, Mbetenge, Champion, Jipson, Mboshi and co. Didi Kalombo had to chance to be invited by Alpha Blondy on his album and released his solo album Rien a Voir, claiming the title "Leader de la 5eme Generation", i don't know why maybe for the fact that he used to be leader of Fraternite Musica which had Fally Ipupa, Celeo Scram,  Flamme Kapaya, etc. as musicians. Then he dissapeared until that he rejoined Wenge BCBG in Kinshasa (I wonder if he has French papers or he comes back to France sometimes). I saw recently a interview of him in Kinshasa and he was very dark.

What became of Dolin and Yondi Okosha after the split of Pipiyus? I remember that Djo Lokis joined Les Marquis
He was even at the LSC concert with Bill Clinton, Ferre Gola, and JDT before they returned to Kinshasa.



Even to this day, Yondi still got the magic voice! They should have stayed together, technically Didi Kalombi should have been a leader given his long history with BCBG. What do you think?
