Which is also true, but in his prime-years he was never saying it, he was only mentioning Lutuma Simaro and Tabu Ley as his idols even in the years of Maisha Parc.  If it was in Congo they would have cut that part.


It always surprise me how the French media likes to praise Papa Wemba and let other Congolese artists ask questions about him while in his last years they didn't like to do promo for him and if they were doing promo, they were always liking to come with the ngulu-affaire to humilated him. They really think that Papa Wemba is the best Congolese artist ever, while we have Franco Luambo Makiadi and Tabu Ley.

It seems that Nathalie Bumba gave him alot of money to mention her like 7 or 6 times in every song. Koffi Olomide messed that show at Acoustic up by doing started to do alot of mabanga at some point while mabanga doesn't really fit in something like "Acoustic" and doesn't sound professional in that short time and space. Papa Wemba and Fally Ipupa were never doing mabanga in the few moments that they performed there.
