This all is because of ADT Yanki. Now all Congolese people are thinking that Ndombolo ya Solo had zero succes outside DRC and the press even  believing it and blindly copying i. I was even shocked to read that they even wrote it on the wikipedia-page of Koffi and Ingrid Kabongo saying that while interviewing it one of the former QL-member. They will all discover how big and crazy impact "Ndombolo Ya Solo" had in Africa, the day JB Mpiana will die. They have to ask Congolese people who used to live in Ivory Coast, Benin, Cameroun,  Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda at that time, how big the succes of it was.



Bill really start to piss me of these. Just because that DJ Arafat said that he was one of his rolemodels, he really become big headed, acting like Double Zenith, Bercy, Palais des Sports and those multiple concerts at Stade des Martyrs were of him while its on the name of Werrason and comparing himself to Diamond Platinumz while he had zero trophees on his name and never toured in Europe with his own band like Fally Ipupa and Ferre both already performed at Zenith.

i just saw ndombolhino post that he thinks celeo came with more long term memorable animation than bill even if bill made a big impact with his stage presence and energy and overall contribution,what do you guys think about it

Its true that Bill became big headed since arafat praised him but personnaly. I think Bill is a better atalaku than Caludji on almost all points (especially in voice and power of his voice) ... Its true that Tutu Caludji left a trace in the Congolese music with Ndombolo's animation but Bill is still better than him for me even if he did not have a successful animation like Ndombolo or Koyimbiko (of Celeo).

I always found that Tutu Caludji was a bit an overrated atalaku, would he have had great success if he had not used Ndombolo ? I dont think. A lot of atalaku are much more powerful and more interesting than Tutu Caludji. About Ndombolo ya Solo, everybody knows it was a huge hit in Africa, it's because today JB has no more consideration like in the past that everybody thinks it was not a big hit... but we have to admit that Koffi's loi was better than Ndombolo ya Solo because Ndombolo ya Solo was played in a very slow rhythm and powerless way compared to Loi. Loi was more catchy and had the advantage of having a video clip...

He talked a lot of rubbish but we all can agree that Koffi made Ndombolo international and his version is the best. Back to Bill saying no one copied Kaludji ermm he forgets he was a copy of Kaludji whe he started.  Celeo, Mboshi, Brigade, CNN, Eclipse and Kunzardo are just some of many who came in the game with Kaludji’s animation style...smh not only is Bill finish but he’s also a clown.

Yes Loi Ndombolo was more successful and better, but say Jb’s Ndombolo was successful in DRC is so untrue. Bill was a callugist in the beginning, but let’s be honest not a lot of people remember bill’s cries compared to Celeo and that’s a fact.

Am a fan of Wenge and Bill is somehow right on Tutu. Actually Tutu joined Wenge as a Tenorist before switching to animation. Atalakus normally command shows and Bill to me did this pretty well. Besides his prowess in dancing, he left a mark in animation that endeared him to fans of rival groups.

I'm not a fan of the dissing and empty beefs but Bill says some truths. Koffi's ndombolo was way bigger. Not necessarily better. In my personal opinion, I never saw anything special in Kaludji as an atalaku. I never found him captivating enough, I never found him entertaining enough. he had the benefit of being backed up by a big band

Bill on the contrary was imposing, he was entertaining & his animations in Solola Bien, Kibuisa Mpimpa & a la que le leu are unforgettable. Even as a solo artist he went on to do some good animations. I'm not sure we can say the same about Kaludji

one notable difference between tutu and bill is that bill is a born atalaku,caludji is not,caludji is a singer who had a career like an atalaku its like in football so many goalkeepers started as forwards but for the need of their career became goalkeeper
so in terms of determination its totally normal that bill has  an edge,caludji started being tired of animation in 1999 already
if you compare tenor atalakus you'll also see that celeo is/was different to cnn,mboshi tutu who were singers who became atalakus
when its your natural thing its always different as if its a plan b

I have noted that we always compare apples and oranges.
For one to make a comparison the characteristics being compared must be similar. You cannot compare for example a first voice with a second voice. An atalaku in one band can shine but when moved to another he dims.
What I have discovered in Congolese music and alot rides on other factors and not necessarily talented. I We know talented artists who are not famous or mediocre ones who are famous.
Another factor is era...Timing can make or break, even more so nowadays where social media is King trending songs gather "mosses". But does it equate to quality.
Artist hunger also plays a part, artist who want to break into the scene generally have more drive than those established.
I could go on and on....
Bill and Tutu are as different as day and night hence comparison is moot.
