Mfumu Vata despite Magie being a classic album is it true that people criticized Koffi a lot for abandoning his Tcha Tcho style in this album and using too electric guitar, a heavy drum sound and Bivens being too noisy ? I thought Magie was well received when it came out.

Magie was a huge succes in DR Congo. It was not that people criticized Koffi for using electric guitar, heavy drum sound and Beevans being noisy. They criticized Koffi for copying Wenge 4x4 and Beevans being a copycat of Robert Ekokota. Back in the time every band and solo-artist had his own sound, that's why people were furious against Koffi.
