Great team, great dances, great sets and very good tracklist.
That video give me goosebumps man for real, remind me my childhood, 2002, one of the albums that make me love music, i was like « man i wish i can give the same feelings to peoples when ill grow up ».
To me its (along with affair d’etat) his best video clips and the best of the congolese music ever.
And that album is fire, my only problem its the fact, champion programs the drum in Washington. It dont fit to me, Phillipe guez had to do this.
And i would like mamale & blanchard to be on this one.
And by the way, where is ridens makoso?

As a kid! I always wanted to have the big red costume! That might be a Halloween idea come to think of it! Haha! However, I've always wondered what Gilba would've sounded like if CNN animated it! I'd say listen to "Arche De Noe" from FDF and listen to Gilba!

ridens makosso was left behind in Kinshasa. He tried to get his place in QL back when they returned to Kinshasa, but was again left behind when QL went to Europe for Affaire d'Etat. So he tried to go to Europe on his own through West-Africa, but he got stuck in Ivory Coast like many otherCongolese people, who tried to go to Europe through countries like Nigeria, Benin, Togo, Mali, Senegal, Maroc, Ivory Coast & Angola. Ridens lives nowadays in Mali.

2. Loi
3. Efrakata
4. V12
5. Magie

We have to admit that Kofi's best days are behind him, no way the can produce something closer to the five albums I have mentioned. He deserves well retirement days and music should be a part time to him, no one should complain we he produce a crap album. The pressure is on Fally, Ferre and the young musicians to carry the flag of the congolese music forward.

If Ridens never got left behind in Kinshasa, would he have played the role of rhythm guitarist? Koffi just acquired Ramazani; who was miles ahead as a soloist and Felly Tyson's place was untouchable at the time. What role could he have on Effrakata aside from the one Fofo Le Collegien played?

Also, what usually comes first? Do groups create the generique first then the rest of the songs come? Or are the songs brought to the group as concept then the animations later?

We will never know. But hewould surely play lead in concerts, because some solo's of Force de Frappe were played by him (Au Secours & Pragmatisme for example).


First the songs and the generique last. There isn't any band that comes with the generique first. The generique always as last prepared when they work on albums  and when they record the album. Because it often happens that new cries appear suddenly during the tour or on the last minute.

Back in those days, koffi used to be careful about the esthetic aspect of the mueic
With the covers, the color themes especially from droit de veto until monde arabe which make you want to listen the album.

But now look at the « nyataquance » cover...

Back in the early 2000s, every Sunday after church my dad would always pop the DVD in the living room TV and blast it through the whole house. I would play ps1/ps2 games in my room with my sisters/friends with it playing in the background. NOSTALGIA hits hard with this one.
