That's an interesting perspective! I consider Werrason the African version of Dr. Dre; Kibusia Mpimpa and Dre's 2001. Both albums have a lot of features to work around their limitations as vocalist, but maintain a unique arrangement that fulfills the structure needed to be classified as a solo album. For example, Dr. Dre has one song where he handles the verses, while the chorus are left to R&B singer Mary J. Blige and Rell. Werrason does something similar on Waka Waka with Baby Ndombe, Ferre, and Bill Clinton assisting on chorus as well as the call and response of "C'est Bon, Ca J'adore".Then there's songs where his vocals is almost non-existent, but his presence is felt.Same with WerraThe way the songs are structured, Werrason is very much the central figure. This is unlike Solola Bien and A La Queue Leu Leu, where each song is molded to the credited artist's aesthetic. But that's another thread topic...Any thoughts?
