As we all know back in the days artists had ghostwriters, or co-writers working with them on songs. It wasn't an issue until it became an issue because of the public.

Does anyone know of the first incident involving a Ghost writer coming out to say I wrote "this song for Werra" or for Fally whoever?

How did this problem begin because I heard ghostwriters got paid but someone decided na we need to get paid everytime the song sells or appears on the radio etc  they wanted residual. Does anyone know when this problem began?

For me if I'm a songwriter I'm looking at residual payment. If the song is a hit, or is streamed online whatever. I want a cut out of it. I'm not expecting a big cut but at least I get something from Koffi, (he's gonna refuse to work with me loool) , something from Werra, and so on. So I'm eating from different artists.
