MEANING, EXPLANATION

The song is about Firmain Mamanika wichi I guess is a donor and the song talks about a woman who had (the song usually in Congolese culture is written from a female prospective about a guy who is a playboy or that did her wrong, to boost the ego and the fame of the donor, so Firmain Mamanika didn't really did the things said on the songs) kids with her wife but that then after a trip to Bateke has left her, badmouthing her to the people, and despite all that the lady in the song still loves Firmain Mamanika hoping one day he could come back, in fact Werra allows a bit to the meaning of the song by saying in French that doing mistake you acquire wisdom.

The solo vocals are from Ferre, Serge MABIALA and Baby Ndombe plus the choir with a clear imprint of Ferre on the lead doing harmonized and of course Werra singing the last vocals before the sebene who just comments here and there throughout the choir and the solo vocals from Serge, Baby and Ferre, I didn't translate all of the seben simply because there are some words in Kikongo and other languages outsideof Lingala that I don't comprehend so if anyone knows what those KiKongo and other languages sentences means he is welcome.

In a Ndombolo Congolese album usually the Seben of an album retake the cries of the generique or do new ones with usually the first or last single of the album being the generique, usually back then in 2001 double cd's were common so you had two main generique for albums ome as the main (Like Operation Dragon in this case) and the second one being more traditional or adding new elements (Kibuisa Mpipa) in this case and with seben being added to rhumba songs except for some all rhumbas as you all know Kibuisa Mpipa (meaning what is done at night should never be out) was an album of enormous success, giving Werrason the huge success post Wenge he was looking for, the Animation part of course were done by Celeo and Bill and in this song specifically you can hear Bill going back to when he was a Caludjiste actually singing and not doing that rough voice Werra loved so much, Celeo also sang well but as usual having a limited space in confront to his colleague Bill, unfortunately this song hasn't got a video and since I couldn't be analyzing things like I do now when it came out (I had 7) I can't say if it was a success or not but it seems like it was since people often ask me to review or translate this song. I have tried to search everywhere but I couldn't find the person who ask me to transcribe these lyrics I guess it was PCGY KASTELLO if I am not wrong yes, now I have find out the original post and was the brother PCGY who request it, anyway here is your song translation and meaning hope you will enjoy

Thanks a lot Archos, it is annoying especially when words from choir and main song intermix but everything for our culture, by the way what was the name of the songs you gave to Werra and other leaders it will be an honour to me to include them in my list of songs to translate.
