Lol I’d say the complete opposite, BCBG’s Generiques are soft and mellow, especially when you compare it to the generiques of MM and QL when all groups were at their peak it’s not even close.
I’m not saying they’re all bad they’re just meh. Also at parties at least the ones I go to the DJ doesn’t have much to select only mainly Kipe Ya yo and very rarely TH and Ndombolo, that itself says quite a lot.

id say also  the turn down people have with bcbg generiques is the sound if you listen to anti terro  pushing sound to a well audible level then have alerte generale just after your neighbour can complain about noise,if quel est ton probleme the way it is soundwise had better animation it would be a banger

bcbg's sebenes in itself is already rarely agressive,its mainly built to be danced easily but then if you take  most of bcbg generiques from  the first primus ad,mela primus gout danze until today,most of the records are different to most groups who enter the same studio,most people love that hard hitting sound which will make you stand up while in bcbg releases after internet,rarely has the sound been like that, which is why i give the example of quel est ton probleme which is probably the closest to what people like in terms of sound,crisp clear solo all instruments well tuned to be properly heard especially drums which is crucial to  many people's appreciation
