He already did have an Orchestre Multi-Systeme at the time, but it was more of a backing band that Madilu turned to whenever he played in Kin since his albums were recorded with Europe-based session musicians. They did record on Pouvoir 4 years later but they only played on about half the album so it wasn't until Tenant du Titre that they played on an entire album.

I forgot that. You are right. I forgot his name but Madilu copycat sang with Madilu and Desouza on the song Nakombo.

He openly mocked them in his own songs "kopesa bango visa te, sinon te bako kima" and told other bandleaders that he would never bring them to Europe, but still giving them false hope in interviews and rehearshals. That's also why Volvo, Fofo le Collegien, Pathy Moleso, Adricha Tipo Tipo, Signora Depatra Uomo, Babel, Rio Kazadi and co all left for other bands. They kept recording manquette-versions in Kinshasa at Studio Bobongo and Studio Meko, but them later being recorded by session musicians.

Apart Fanta Cebene, all clips of that album are. They didn't put any effort to record a good videoclip. All those looks like playback-shows.

Which makes me wonder why Madilu could have just have had a solo career and not act like an ass that he was frequently.

Maybe they all would have ran away, if Madilu took them to Europe. There's plenty of examples of hemorrhaging band because of European tours.

Musicians mostly ran away because of not being paid or them being in conflict with the bandleader or an influent bandmember. The team Madilu had from 1993 until 2000 was really determined like most youngsters who were members of big bands (wanting to become known, coming back from Europe with expensive clothes, etc.), but Madilu himself killed it by his behaviour (abandoning them sometimes when being on tour in African countries without paying and going back to Switserland and/or Paris, staffmembers who were present trying to abuse the dancers when looking a way to go back to Kinshasa,etc.) with most of them ending up by other bands. A man like Fofo Le Collegien already went to Europe multiple times with Sam Mangwana, why would he run away ? The same thing with Reddy Amisi who had a talented band (musicians like Marcahouse, Guy Bayaya, Blaise Createur, Richard, etc.) and fans waiting for them when Compteur a Zero a huge succes, but Reddy Amisi refusing thinking that they would run away. Reddy once went far by contacting Ferre to say that he must not bring Marcahouse to Europe, because he would ran away. It made Marcahouse furious and dissapointed at the same and the moment he came back from Europe, he went with his new car to Reddy's rehearshal to prove him a point and all fans following him and Reddy just staying silent.
