seguin says in early 90's already he was predicting to friends that one day he will be in wenge,and few years after in mid 90's he was in a group versace musica which had his cousins bouro and maitre yoka mpela,his best friend kakol and other people(but kakol left them to go to another group kibinda nkoy in which he was also following him) and one day they had ambition to play with other minor groups before wenge 4X4 goes on stage,and he went to see mbuta kiss to ask if it is possible and mbuta accepted to put them on list and one day several groups performed including theirs and at some point jb and werra took the mic to ask if among those groups or in the crowd there are drummers who can join to be titina's back up and champion esthetique was the first to step on stage,then another guy swalé,and his friends started telling him to go try his luck and when he started playing patient kusangila was enjoying it and started telling titina pick this one pick this one pick this one and titina along with jb and werra ended up picking him
and it was a great honor for him to play alongside titina because prior to that day after their parts with versace musica he'd sit somewhere behind titina and wonder how on earth somebody can play this well,and he added he is not ashamed to say that he was deciding on his own to go spend the whole day at titina's house willing to wash dishes,shoes or whatever just to have the chance to learn drums to another level
he was asked about the split of wenge,and he said that for him signs of split started to show with two events,first being jb deciding to wear like hip hop artists for the concept of his album since artists like to associate to their major albums some looks which could become a trend for fans,but adolphe and werra countered it with japanese clothes,and seguin says that it was the first time he ever saw jb angry as at some point in the process jb literally roasted adolphe at a reunion for ruining his concept by not only doing something else,but coming with it with werra like its a competition within the group
and the second event was on tour in chad when album was out and while refusing to name him he says when they started playing generique of feux de l'amour thn cavalier solitaire,one of the big admins of the group (werrason) turned his back and said "this is bullshit this is crap music, wait for my album " and seguin said that he took ferre aside and they were gossiping on werra's reaction because they were surprised
then the kenya tour arrived,and for the first time musicians were paid 200 dollars or more by alain makaba even before landing and they were over the moon with that and he said it was such a special moment for him that until today he remember serial number of those bills and makaba told them after the tour they will again get something,as the tour was basically a tour for his album and he came with the ideas he learned in europe and wanted to apply it in wenge
and there was big tension there,werra only sang at one concert then was sick
and when they returned didier masela sent a notice to national tv that he was stripping all admins of their roles in order to remove jb from presidence
then after there was reunion at grand hotel and seguin got asked whether its true that it was so tense that there was almost a fight and he says yes,he cant lie since he promised to tell the truth, werra was very angry with the fact it was not him who paid musicians as usual, and he was inches away from physically manhandling jb who was silent throughout reunion and blaise bula was the first to leave the reunion and got outside and he was fuming at how werra calling him jb and makaba a bunch of cowards,seguin says him and ferre followed blaise who told them to go back to reunion becausee thats none of their business whats happened with werra
then when jb (whose plan A was to have solo career with session artists then maybe creating a complete new band outside wenge) left they followed him to tell him they are on his side and they should stick together to do something (especially as there was a tour in europe already scheduled with visas already there,they cant abandon all this to start afresh)
he was asked about titina's departure and he said titina was influenced by an artist whose name he refuses to mention (koffi) and that jb was sad of losing him and he went and knocked jb's door to say "boss titina trained me,trust me we'll handle his departure,dont underestimate me"
and he naturally became bcbg's starting drummer and champion came in at some point
he also talked about aimelia's case saying that aimelia had been doing a lot of things as success went to his head and jb to punish him said that he would not sing in th but on next group album( the song he released in a la queue leu leu was meant to be his song from next group album) and seguin he knows jb even though jb can get angry easily,if you have the right atittude to play it down he can also change his mind quickly but aimelia with that success was full of ego at that time and did nothing but sulk in his room( which is why since he never made a step to apologize even through guys like mpela or titina jb decided to go to studio without him knowing to prove him a point)
he gave example that even before zenith when the generation of kibens chai rio went on mic when it was his turn he was always saying that micro is stinking because of the breath of those singers,and was constantly throwing shade at them
and he reveals that tutu caludji almost stayed in europe after that tour(mbuta kiss chewed some of the money destined to him and couple of little things he was unhappy with) as he was very upset and he went to see aimelia and caludji and told them he was ready to give them his salary if their issue was money just so that they return,and he managed to convince tutu and thats one of the things for which jb loves him until today,because he showed dedication to the group by trying to avoid losing two of the main stars of the group
they will do another part about his time in bcbg,the way he is always accused of nasty tactics to freeze people out of the group and things like that
