like i said few times ago,i would share my experience of that concert from (almost) start to finish

after the success of olympia concert earning him the nickname from some fans "african michael jackson",felix wazekwa set himself a target which was to aim for zenith and for as big as possible halls in other european cities as he now felt confident to go for bigger areas than in his past european tours
first thing he does is going to french authorities to explain that the few musicians who stayed in europe did not run away but stayed on his demand for family reasons(in reality it was a loyalty reward for vicky nasdaq who is of the same generation than jb werra and co and that wazekwa wanted to reward having been a day 1 cultura member even before cultura existed officially,dancers who were retiring to get married,mbonda player aimedo who ran away fearing that would be upset because he was offered an already used phone having as ringing tone efrrakata of koffi olomide and which rang during post olympia reunion) because he wants to make sure he is not bothered about it when requesting visas
he starts taking informations in order to once again produce his show himself as this time he does not even bother looking for producers knowing some artists he has issues with have way bigger influence on them than him
and he starts putting aside some money for that and trying to find a date to set for the concert,and first sees a date available for summer of 2010 but its quickly taken
in the meantime,egyptian producer meganet who has been working with several african artists approaches him after jb mpiana declined offer (because contract is too low for his standing) and after talking with his friend jb wazekwa decides to take it but not as a full production but a co-production
the new date set is then 9th of october in 2010 and like for olympia felix will plan a lockdown of musicians for 50 days this time since he aims to make much better than olympia
but also this time he seeks help of kibens and lofombo to help out on artistic direction for the singing parts as he aims to also show he can sing well
The first part of rehearsals was then focused on building an entrance medley with various classics of congolese music then some cultura songs,wazekwa will be suggested to do something rarely or never seen in the era  of dominant leaders in starting the concert along with the group being in the far right microphone with DRC flag on his face so that people dont realise its him then after few songs of the medley move back to locker room but musicians will be against it as they want to make their impression too in the entrance and they believe people will notice and focus on him
after two weeks the rumba parts are set and they will now focus on choreography,starting with rehearsing the unused ones of the olympia concert
once that is done they will now be working for weeks on creating something new and in the process they will have the scare of their life as while they are taken back to kin to start a week end of rest and party to relax a bit from pressure,as due to a lighting deficiency on the road their bus driver luckily avoids another big bus coming at fast pace   and they end up out of road but luckily nobody gets injured
after that scare a room of video games and some sort of mini bar will be set so that they can have so fun without having to take that road in the night
and when the show of 4h12 is totally set  its time to go back to kinshasa and apply for visas,and musicians will all go  for interviews at embassy in two groups of 15
in the meantime rumours are starting to come from europe that felix wazekwa will be arrested if he comes to europe
in fact,belgian authorities are looking for him in suspicion of human traffic which started from a sweden tour via belgium cultura had few years before and as cultura came with not even 10 members for studio correction wazekwa had to go back to kin to come with dancers and presenter of the show blaise wanga and when they arrived  thy got taken under custody and promised to be given papers if they admit that they are not real artists and journalist like wazekwa pretends,but they will confirm they are dancers and presenters and will accept going back to kinshasa to prove they are honest which they did and wazekwa had been changeing adress a couple of times in europe as he was looking for an house were he can rehearse a little bit without bothering neighbours and he was not getting letters from court and seeing that he was never responding to being invited to court,he was given automatic sentence of 2years of prison should he arrive in europe
and he had his process on 22nd of september in which he defended himself about what he was accused of and explained that he did not bring people to europe to make money from it but rather family members to help them have better opportunity to be independent to him and take care of their families and young people from his foundation and he apologised for having done it,and he was then told that fellow congolese artists snitched on each other to courts during that era after papa wemba's arrest and from that he was convinced that he paid somehow for his active support for papa wemba to be released
 it was then slightly above 2 weeks away from the show,he called us to define some strategies for the arrival of musicians,decide about their outfits and things like that while waiting for answer from embassy over 31 visas requested
11 days before the show wazekwa is announced that he will receive 20 visas then 15 two days later but musicians still are not given their passports to confirm it
9 days before the show they received passports with no visas and are waiting to get passports for the 7  instrumentists
shaken by the news but still determined to perform wazekwa start to contact musicians in case they manage to get some visas,in order to cover for the instrumentist section mainly still hoping to get visas for singers atalakus and dancers
wazekwa will then rehearse for a week with rolly ngwanzu,kerozene,thierry mogratana,junior wendo and co to try to reproduce a show which had been worked on for 7 months
one day before the show musicians hear that they are getting visas and when secretary goes he is told to come back the day after which was  the day of concert but there was a flight which would get them to france in time
The day of concert musicians arrive at embassy in the morning and still are not getting their passports and tension rises and when hour of flight arrives and still do not have response musicians completely lose their cool and eclipse and carcini luzubu end up being arrested for creating trouble at embassy
its a very stressed wazekwa who hears the news of his musicians who mastered the show not getting their passports,and to add insult to injury some musicians are late because they are coming from their work but wazekwa wants to honour his contract
the fact musicians have not arrived  and made videos causes some lack of motivations from fans to go to the concerts but still a crowd a bit bigger than his olympia crowd is starting to attend and park and the makeshift group starts the concert with some medley
outside the hall while some who parked are entering two guys on a bike pass by and throw tear gas and run away and few after some cars are attacked including the journalist cesar ngadi
after few songs police arrives claiming bomb alert and stopping concert and 6 of us follow police in order to understand whats going on,and when we arrive we are told that they had to arrive in emergency after receiving 81 calls  which they took very seriously and were about to unlesh RAID the anti terrorist section of police
and when we get authorization to finish the concert wazekwa makes his entrance but he is so affected that  he cant hold tears on and off stage when he takes a break
instead of going down in history as wazekwa confirming himself as a top artist concert goes donw in history with mocking and humiliation for the little crowd which stayed throughout the whole process of the concert
the sunday after musicians of quartier latin go on tv with a bottle of champagne and throw massive shade at the concert

I felt sooo bad for him, he didn’t deserve that. If I was him I’d have cancelled that concert, there’s no way I’d perform with a huge mpiaka like that, just to have my colleagues and former employees embarrass and roast me on tv with no mercy.

Who was the guy who snitched to the French Authorities make them think Wazekwa was a terrorist? I know I think I know who it is is KOMM?

Really strange that the ngulu-affair popped up just before Zenith. I remember how some Koffi-fans were thinking that Wazekwa would end up by getting arrested. I miss those Congomikili-days. I the same period you had also a conflict of journalist Baby Balukuna along with another journalist against Wazekwa, I dont remember anymore what it was about, but Wazekwa wanted to send people to beat them or something like that.

I really wonder how Koffi's career would have been if there wasn't a concert-ban in Europe. Koffi really felt down in 2010 & 2011, trying to be still in spotlights with the concepts Cindy chante Koffi, Koffi chante Tabu Ley & Koffi chante Lutumba, but he couldn't keep up Werrason, Felix Wazekwa and his sons Fally Ipupa & Ferre Gola. The Maison Mere-camp mocking Koffi and calling him Franc Congolais and Koffi really being depressed and not knowing what to do. I remember a journalist from USA (The bald one who works nowadays along with Judith Wawina on Vox Africa or something like) calling Koffi and asking why he isn't to comeback in Europe and Koffi shouting that people are jealous of his long lasting succes and try to finish him, but him not being finished and Koffi ending up by cutting the phone (he apparently cried immedialty after it).

 the problem between babi and wazekwa was comments babi made during the tense fights of cultura and quartier latin when interviewing koffi or something like that and the comments were harsh on wazekwa and its the bodyguards of matete who took it personal to threaten him
