Yep, his voice is gone.

Can he get it back with a good hygiene/diet?

i honestly believe yes, brigade who has been mocking him a lot recently is lucky to have those genes where you can eat tons of food but remain skinny, atalakus need to be under pressure to keep their qualities intact, unlike singers who in off days can resort to "voix de tete"  to save their thing, the case of caludji makes me believe he can recover, caludji when he had his time off music had a similar if not worse problem than celeo but when he decided to come back into music  and started a diet to lose some weight he has started hitting those papa wemba like notes again, mboshii is another case  of the weight  and voice bad cohabitation since the days of his return in  quartier latin he was no more the mboshi of olympia and academia and had blatantly put on weight
its way easier for rough voice atalakus to hide the impact of their weight and lifestyle  because actually  they can get away very well  with sounding way rougher( gesac, bill, kero to name a few) people actually find it agressive   when the guys pull that  hardcore voice  unlike tenors who get easily exposed

Naa Mboshi was alright when he returned, yeah I agree he wasn't going high in notes like in Olympia but it wasn't a massive massive difference because he was still outshining Apoca in concerts, even one of his last shows in Paris at new years 2007 he really outshined Apoca and Acide at that concert. About Tutu you're right for example on Blaise's song Ted Tendai he sounds a bit different to the Tutu we once knew.
