I guess that's what happens when you try to release something on the same day as your rivals.

I wish they would give it a rest with these world albums. Nobody wants em. Not the people in Kin not the people in london brussel paris. World albums from african artist rarely work and when they do they never captivate the grassroots fans. When has this technique ever worked??? Thank god Koffi never had a world music period and because of it has the best catalogue to this day. Those world album really dilute your discography.

Lol, I think that you’ve never been to Kin and have been following what was going on the last 10 years. People prefer foreign music above Congolese music right now and know all those Tokoss songs by heart. Congolese music is death in Kinshasa

That technic worked very well for Wemba and made him being respected in Europe and the United States. If he didn’t do world music then he would have been on the same level like Emeneya and the press around world not having paid him the tribute when he died. World music made him also be known better in Africa because before that he was only known in Zaire, Congo Brazzaville, Rwanda and Burundi. His work with Martin Messoniers and Le Voyageur made him known in Francophone Africa (Senegal, Ivory Coast, Guinea & Mali) and his Emotion album made him known in Anglophone Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria).
