Maybe they played his creations on JB Mpiana's album, but he never recorded in studio. It seems like Didier Masela wasn't as prominent as a bassist going into the 90s...

Didier Masela was a good bassist, if you followed the interview then you hear Christian saying that Masela thought him how to play Wenge's style, because Christian not being a good bass-player at that time (more knowing Reggae and gospel music). They needed a back-up bassist because Didier Masela was a student at the university and hadn't time to participate on rehearshals. From 1994, they started to bring Christian to Europe. They were fearing that he would also join Wenge El Paris, since that they already lost Dello Bass to El Paris in 1992, who was fed up to a back-up bassplayer and staying behind during tours. You will notice that his brother Alain Mwepu also ended up by joining El Paris.

I knew that Christian Mwepu was often attacked in London by people close to Didier Masela and in Montreal even beaten up. But I didn't knew that they also attacked Christian Mwepu physically on stage in Geneva and Bill Clinton having a scar because of being attacked by people  close to Masela & Adolphe.

What I don't understand is that his story often change of version, in 2011 he made an interview with Papy Rebelle of Congomikili and he said that he stayed because of medical reasons besides being threatened. Then somewhere in 2014/15 he made an interview and said that he stayed because they weren't rehearsing in London his two songs in Solola Bien beside being attacked. In this interview he plays the victim, but the previous interview he openly said that he was sent by Werrason to attack Didier Masela and Adolphe, not giving the bass-guitar to Didier Masela when he asked and sometimes even insulting him.
