But did Kapaya Voka receive shout-outs in Les Marquis and a special mention in the videoclips ? That story is really scary. I don't think that they tried to kill him, because how would Maison Mere have performed the next day without a lead-guitarist if he passed away ? I think that something different was planned, which happened to other artists of other bands and had destructive effects on their lives (drugs, etc.).
I think that Flamme mistook the story of the Kora's in South Afirca with the trip to Cameroun organised by JPS Production, just before the end of the tour. Because back in 2002, Maison Mere didn't participate to Kora Awards, it were Quartier Latin, Koffi Olomide and Makoma who won 5 kora's in total for DR Congo. Anyway, that explains why the sound-quality of A La Que Leu Leu was bad compared to the previous albums of Maison Mere. But, still there was to much mabanga if you compare it Kibuisa Mpimpa. Songs like Victime d'Amour and Maman Mabe were totally ruined and you can't say it about Ntima Mbote and Obiang of Kibuisa Mpimpa who had less names. What I don't understand is that Al Nzimbi was the arranger of the album, where was he when they were mixing the album ?
