The thing which took the attention to me was the way he talked about the relationship with his "uncle" King Kester Emeneya and the time they spent together. It's rare to hear him really describe Emeneya's role in his life in interviews, because he mostly talks about Wenge 4x4.

I still don't understand why Marie Paul didn't took the idea of teaming up quickly with Zing Zong, JDT, Ya Yuyu and Rento Vena to record an album during his 6 month stay in Europe in 1995. According to many people his long absence in Kinshasa was a nightmare for Manda Chante and Depitcho, Depitcho also trying to get to Europe through Brazazville until, but changing his mind when Marie Paul finally returned. The must make a movie about he managed to return in Europe in 1995 with a false passeport through Brazzavile and the one of 2012. It seems that all journalist forget to ask Marie Paul the question of Palais du Peuple of 1997 or the YMCA-event in 2000 against Werrason.

So the fall out and Kongulu Mobutu suddenly changing camps has nothing to do with Wenge 4x4 decidated a song to him in Anges Adorables volume 1 like Dello Bass said, but because of Kongulu wanting get the total control of El Paris and getting rid of Francis Kalombo ? I didn't understand well what Marie Paul said, who was stealing money from them ? Was it Francis Kalombo or Kongolo Mobutu ? If it's Kongolo Mobutu, it's really weird, because he was already Mobutu's son, why does he have to get also money from poor musicians. Kongolo Mobutu really killed their career.

It's normal that Congolese artists would get jealous of El Paris. Receiving $200.000 dollars for just performing in Gbadolite in front of the Mobutu-clan along with Zaiko. What did Kongolo Mobutu think of the Wenge 4×4 split? If his father was never removed from power, would he side with Werra or JB Mpiana?

I don't know lol. I'm not Kongulu kiekiekie.

I think that he was like many Wenge 4x4 not happy with it. Kongulu died a few months after the split. I think that he would prevent the split, by forbidden any camp to perform and block everybody who tried to go abroad. The minister of culture tried to prevent both camps performing, but he hadn't any power and the politicians of the new AFDL-regime at that time didn't really care about Wenge (were those of the old generation and came from Katanga, Kivu and some from Rwanda). Wenge BCBG immediatly performed in Gombe (I don't remember where) and gave a public rehearshal at Moto na Moto in Bandal. They also announced a event at Intercontinental, but they played the public and took that event the plane towards Europe for Bataclan. Wenge Maison Mere at their side performed at Bar-Vis a Vis to react against Wenge BCBG and the week after at Studio Maman Ngebi for Variete Samedi Soir and Intercontinental. But the concert at Inter wasn't a big succes.




 The stuff of fans siding with JB or Werra didn't start immediatly after the split.  Many  fans  were lost and didn't know what to do. Most just followed JB Mpiana who was at that time n1 with his album Feux de l'Amour.  Only few followed Werrason. Alain Makaba, Blaise Bula & JB Mpiana keeping accusing in the media Werrason of stealing money and not wanting to pay musicians when they were touring in Europe, didn't have any effect on Werrason. It worked against them, because people started to fel pity for Werrason for the way he was left alone and the few interviews Werrason made letting grew it more. Then the few interviews JB Mpiana made to react against Sankara and Werra's declaration's made people see JB as arrogant guy and somebody who doesn't like poor people and more fans switching to Werrason. In meantime there was also a strong campaign in Europe to support Werrason by guys like Huges Luvelela, Photo Joel Mbetenge and Patcho Panda.
