Les Marquis still existed the disbanded a weeks later. This was when Maison Mere arrived in Europe (february 2005) for a tour and Ferre Gola & Bill Clinton going back to Kinshasa at that same period for concerts, JDT refusing and staying with the of Les Marquis musicians (Serge Mabiala, Japonais, Celezino, Mimiche Bass and co). JDT gave himself the nickname "Roi Marquis" and gave a concert at LSC. Bill who arrived one week earlier in Kinshas than Ferre, had already a contract with Bracongo and started rehearsing with the musicians recruited by his staff in Ngiri-Ngiri. When Ferre arrived he started ignoring him and not doing what they planned in Paris, because Bill had normally to join Ferre. Ferre did everything to reconcile with him, but Bill refused. So Ferre started his own band "Les Marquis de Beau Garcons" with the musicians who were recruited by his staff when they were in Paris. But it didn't work, because there was a lack of financial support, he tried to sign with Bralima, but Bralima refused and started to become broke. So when going back to Paris to release the DVD of his first official concert in Kinshasa, Ferre got contacted by Koffi Olomide to join Quartier Latin while he was thinking about a return to Maison Mere. Ferre accepted Koffi's offer who paid him some money. Bill stayed in Kinshasa, enjoying succes with his band Les Marquis Samourai. JDT on his side came in conflict with Japonais, Serge Mabiala, Celezino and Mimiche Bass, who weren't liking way he started to behave. The four guys formed Les Marquis Plus, which hadn't any succes. Mimiche left as first and started negotiate with Serge Mabiala their return to Maison Mere. Mimiche Bass ended up by returning, but Serge Mabiala still stayed with Japonais and Celezino until 2006/07 when both guys started to focus on their solo career, because nothing was working with their band, only performing in empty small halls. JDT who became Roi Marquis went record with the remaining part his EP "Eluka Makambo" which had alot of succes and returned to Kinshasa for some serie of concerts with his band.
The saddest part of the story is that Les Marquis ended up by winning the trophee of "Best African Band" at the Kora Awards 2005. But nobody being there to represent the band, who already disbanded.
