Except for JB Mpiana, everyone sounded horrible. Why won't Genta retire? His voice is shot, he can't handle concerts anymore. He can give cries to younger talent, if he still wants to be active. But he's done enough, make room for Fusee and others.

if i find the image i will post,cellulaire struggled halfway through the concert as he was starting to lose voice then pajo and benladen did the rest,doing for the first time of their career animation for a long period of jb's presence

Before Cellulaire passed away, was he recovering? If I remember well, didn't he take some time off to rest and find inspiration for new animation? Is Pajo and Benladen good atalakus in your opinion?

 before passing away he had actually left bcbg for a year  as he started seeing that he was not given anymore the privilege to do the work of others(pajo and co) as the 2nd atalaku so he felt like he was not wanted anymore
then when he was about to try to rejoin bcbg he went through what he went through in brazza which lead to his death,he did not peacefully leave the group,actually he did a song where even if he gave shoutout to jb he was dissing a bit and his guys were playing it loud in front of where bcbg was rehearsing at that time
i think they are good but bcbg tend to limit atalakus the more you become important,the animation section of bcbg is different from most groups because there is much more chorus animation than most groups which is why bcbg's rivals like to associate them to zaiko to mock them since zaiko does the same thing,so when you become important you just enter the chorus more and follow genta,and also what does not help the bcbg atalakus is that genta is way too ahead in terms of workrate,when jb says  ok let me listen to what you have created genta already comes with 10+ generiques he's prepared at home with mulala and co
if you want to know the real pajo and ben laden,take concerts of 2006 2007 2008 when fudji abraham and co were not full first teamers
you'll see that they are much more direct than their current version,even fusee you'll see he is not as wild as when he came to prominence 5 6 years ago because he had to get into the system,maybe if the quel est ton probleme style worked out they'd have allowed atalakus to continue having freedom but since they went back to a more roots style of animation which continuously works out they continue like that

In my opinion all Congolese bands played the same. No one won. Only Maitre Gims impressed me.

But going back on the topic Michel Bass, is right about Congolese needing to have their own sound engineers, Seguin being limited as drummer, bandleaders having to stop asking the public's opinion when recruiting a singer and needing another different method to test a singer. Because a singer can be an excellent singer, but worse in the chorus. (I had immediately to think about Jipson and Lola Muana and them ruining QL's chorus for years)

The point where Michel Bass says that big shows are often not well prepared and him giving the example of bandleader having their back to the public when giving a sign to the instrumentalists for what song to play and the guitarist looking to the drummer to know what song is coming next, reminds me to the way a French journalist criticized Koffi's Olympia despite all euphoria of Africans. I don't if remember if it was Liberation or another paper, but the journalist said that Koffi's show was bad because of him often having the back to the public and moving his right hand which is strictly forbidden in the western standards of music. A Congolese journalist said exactly the same, but he was seen as a hater and Wemba-supporter by the public. At Bercy a journalist would next to praising the show, also giving the same criticism about Koffi having his back to the public and moving his right hand like something wasn't going well.
