They could’ve even recruited Ocean as well. How was Mustapha going to join intégral because he was still in Academia at the time and was waiting for them to return for the Olympia concert because he was in the vhs released in 2002 talking about Olympia. He should never have left Quartier Latin but I guess we might never truly know what happened to why he left QL in 2000.

Man QL Integral was something else. I really get frustrated when Congolese become one hit wonders. Where is Suzuki? Man is a phenomenal singer.

lebou's friends did a bad bad job that group had potential and certainly if they recorded in europe it would be something else than the dakar recording where you can clearly sense that engineers were not used to congolese music settings

@archos  why did they choose Dakar over Kinshasa, if they couldn't record in Europe?

i guess its was like a anticipated plan b,like the way some albums were done in south africa instead of europe because of x or y reasons,if i am not mistaken thats also the period in which patrouille des stars recorded in dakar

Back in the days studio's in Kinshasa were often crowded when artists were recording. Staffmembers, influent fanatic fans, donors, sidechicks, prostitués,.. Them attending the recordings like it was a public rehearshal. I don't think that it's still the case.

 I remember Wenge Maison Mère first spokemen Didier Dimenene saying that Studio Ndiaye was really full of people, some even standing on the roof when Werrason and co were recording Force d'Intervention Rapide. Bendoson, Pompom Miyake and Ramazani all three said that the album Nouvelle Ecriture they recorded in 1997 in Brazzaville was supposed to be recorded at Studio Bongongo. Maika Munan brought from Europe a mobile studio. But he started to become mad of that big amount of people that were in studio when starting the recording. Maika wasn't able to concentrate well. This made him decided to stop the recording and move with Viva La Musica to Brazzaville to record there in a calm environment.

From 1999, even studio's in Paris started to become overcrowded by mabanga customers, fans, sidechicks and donors. Some even sleeping in the studio. Just wanting their name being mentioned by artists.
