Franco's family lost TP Ok Jazz mythical rehearse place and bar 1,2,3 to Ilosono children. In 1972 Franco got through Mobutu,  the former Engels Bar in Matongé. Engels bar was owned by Captain Denis Ilosono who among the guys that helped Mobutu with the November 24th 1965 coup. He was also the boss/donor of La Révolution Orchestre. The band was created in 1967 by former OK Jazz musicians Kwamy Munsi, Mujos, Brazzos, Isaac Musekiwa and Boyibanda. Ilosono lost everything when he came in conflict with Mobutu. Including Engels bar. Franco would renovate the bar, building 3 dance floors, 4 bars and a office into it. In 1974 the bar was opened as 1,2,3.

Ilosono's family tried for years to get the bar back but without succes. But this time it was different and the justice was came into their favour.

This makes absolutely no sense. They’ve held this grudge for 40 years and 1,2,3 just kept trucking along. Cooler heads could’ve prevailed over this.

This is normal. I love Franco but this place belonged to captain Denis Iloson.

Why not share it actually? It can be 50 to 50 percent. That is much better.

All those years till the time of Franco's death he didn't think of normalising the ownership, I guess because Mobutu was still in power so he felt protected for life just like the La Zamba situation of Werrason.
