marie paul is a very complicated guy

Through Marie Paul's interviews you can see that he was a huge fan of Clan Langa Langa before becoming a big Kester fanatic. Although for the first time not mentioning his idols Evoloko and Gina Efonge who are often praised by him. It seems that he was a big fan of Mopero wa Maloba too, because it's not the first time that he mentioned him in interviews.

Marie Paul here went to far for the way he attacked Alain Makaba. I understand that he wants to defend his friend Docteur Zing Zong and that he's mad the way Makaba gave the reason that he used to fight Wenge 4x4 when having Wenge El Paris. But you can't use that dirty words, making fun of somebody that has health issues and what proves that Makaba went to a witchdoctor with Zing Zong clothes. Even if it was true, Alain Makaba inspired by Zaiko's music created his own style that all youngsters followed while Zing Zong was still stuck in Victoria's music style which isn't bad, but forgotten to day. He became later head of El Paris but was not motivated anymore to do music and refused sacrifice himself for music like Marie Paul did while being stuck in Kinshasa because of Kongolo Mobutu.

Also Marie Paul is mad that they didn't contact him, them contacting Manda Chante and claiming that Wenge 4x4 lie. But he forgets that he made multiple interviews saying that he wouldn't come anymore if they would invite him as guest after seeing that they involved Manda Chante in the project.

Was Marie Paul really a member of Wenge 4x4? He had one vocal on Kaskin, what did he really contribute to Kin e Bouger or Mulolo?

Of course Marie Paul was a member of Wenge 4x4. Otherwise he wouldn't go to Europe with them and not being one of Wenge Aile Paris' co-founders. Wenge 4x4 never used guest-members in their album. Everybody that participated to the album of were members. Except Myriame Luzeka who was the woman that sung in Makaba's song C'est Trop Tard Djenga and the Belgian Cyril Orcel who helped Wenge with those special effects sounds in Kin E Bougé and Kalayi Boeing.

Marie Paul wasn't allowed to sing in Bouger Bouger (The Mulolo-album). But later on he sung in Live! where he participated in the chorus. Live! was a remix-album of Bouger Bouger, the 4 tracks (Mulolo Bis, La Fille du Roi, Kolo Budget & Moni La Rose being a medley and having new member Ekokora as atalaku. It was only released as a audio-cassette in 1989 being produced by Ben Nyamabo (head of Choc Stars)

In the Kin E Bougé album, Marie Paul sung in the chorus of the song Kin E Bouge and had one vocal in Kaskin. The album had just 5 songs. Marie Paul wanted to add his song Dernier Sommeil d'Amour to the tracklist, seeing that Ricoco left and couldn't put his song Molangi ya Malasi anymore in the album. But he wasn't allowed to put his song in the album. After a conflict with Werrason he decided to stay in Europe, also hearing that a 6 months suspension was waiting for him in Kinshasa.




Marie Paul had a hard time in Wenge 4x4 when joining them in 1987. Back then they used to sing with just 4 mics. The first three beloning to Blaise Bula, Werrason and JB Mpiana. The 4th being free because Dede Masolo became a brother in christ, so that mic being shared between Adolphe Dominguez and Ricoco Bulambemba. Marie Paul had zero chance to sing, because he had the 2nd voice singers Blaise Bula and Werrason before him. When Adolphe went to Europe, he started to get more space. But it was still difficult for him. It's was only when Ricoco went to Europe that the 4th mic became free for him. He to adapt himself from being a 2nd voice singer to a 1 first voice singer. Having the to be the bridge between JB Mpiana who was singing high and Blais Bula & Werrason who were singing low.  It coincided with Wenge 4x4 suddenly getting crazy succes after getting released from prison. That's why the majority of public saw him as an important member when leaving Wenge, since that the most started to follow the band after that incident. In the same period Marie Paul became the chief of discipline. The next year he went to Europe with them recorded Kin E Bougé-album. 

 This one of the reasons why people  doubt when the Wenge 4x4 camp says that Alain Mpela joined Wenge Musica earlier than Marie Paul and having sung in the chorus of Mulolo (Bouger Bouger) while Marie Paul didn't. Because no one saw him on tv during the period of 1989 until their return from Europe in 1991. Those coming to concerts only seeing him just doing the intro and two songs as a reserve member along with Manda Chante and Marie Paul himself until JB, Blaise and Werrason arriving who would finishing the concert along with Marie Paul.
