Why did Canal+ RDC not do the interviews in Lingala with Wenge 4x4 ? They are based in Kinshasa, they could use subtitles or a voice in French for people from Eastern Congo that don't understand Lingala and often watch their programs. Sometimes I wonder how they managed to carry the image of graduated students doing music and only talking French for a long time until their split.

The only musicians that talked well without problems were Patient Kusangila, Alain Makaba & Blaise Bula. Only thing that I didn't like from Blaise Bula was that he called Kimbala patois while it's a real language, although some people seeing it as a dialect of Kikongo. That of JB Mpiana, Adolphe Dominguez, Tutu Kaludji and Burkina Faso were ok, but sometimes you could see through their reactions that were not understanding the question well. Through the comments I can see that many were surprised of Vicent Kasango aka Burkina Faso's French, not knowing that his father used to be a teacher.


About Amadou Diaby's story of Wenge 4x4 sleeping in containers in Guinee Conkary. If I was JB or Werrason, I wouldn't perform anymore. How is that possible that a capital like Conakry had just one hotel ?

I noticed that Didier Masela didn't do an interview with Canal+, he was also absent with the one they did with Robert Brazza. What was the reason for it. Is he afraid for interviews ? Because he didn't also do intervews with youtube journalists

i dont know if it has evolved  with time but from what i was told for many many days since they arrived in kin he could not talk without crying at some point,he's probably the one the split affected the most especially when his project of wenge 4X4 with choulay joss diena briefly and co  did not work things went very very downhill for him  to extent that people were mocking him in streets of bandal until he came with that zenith visa of jb if i remember well

Didier Masela went to Brussels a couple days to get equipment (instruments and more).

But still. Masela has the label of being the founder. Ekokota went also back to Europe for some days and still made interviews. 

Did Wenge 4x4 visit Blaise Kombo’s grave before the event. Because Werrason said in many interviews that they would visit it.

Didier Mesela had a band of Joss Diena? I'm guessing this was before Cultura. I always thought he quit music after Solola Bien.

joss was there for a couple of days after cultura had their first trip abroad and he did not go so he was upset  and went to didier's group then returned since didier's group was still at foundation level with makeshift instruments while wazekwa already had complete sets of instruments
