If I remember well back in  artists united to sing a song for Congo against Nord Kivu conflict of 2008-09. Where the CNDP rebels in Eastern Congo were terrorizing the population, being directed by Rwanda and the war criminals Nkunda Batware (now living like a boss in Rwanda) and Bosco Ntanganda (Nowadays in the prison of the ICC court in Holland).

But there was then a conflict between Alpatchino, Lofombo, Sampaio and other singers who were calling themselves "Les Leopards" against bandleaders like Papa Wemba and Werrason. But Alpatchino, Lofombo and Sampaio attacking Wemba and co alot. which made Wemba really mad and at some point indirectly attacking his ex'musicians Alpatchino and Sampaio for not being Congolese (them being children of Angolese migrants), by saying that he's the real Congolese because of being born in the middle of Congo (Lodja).

How did Gode Lofombo and Papa Wemba get into a conflict? Can someone explain to me?

I don't remember well,but someone explained to me that it was about musicians being selected by the governement to sing for the soldiers fighting against the CNDP rebels in Eastern Congo. Then many musicians being mad that they weren't selected, bandleaders singing for those soldiers being paid big money by the gov. and those weren't selected claiming that they erased their name from the list to not share the money with them. Gode Lofombo than decided to unite those of the list who weren't selected to record a song for those soldiers. Musicians like Adolphe Dominguez, Do Akongo, Alpatchino, Sweet Elesse, Manda Chante, Adricha Tipo Tipo, Tonton Lay, Guy Moller, the late Lola Kadogo, Lambio Lambio, Marie Paul and others participating. At the end it was Lofombo who had some succes compared to that of Wemba, Werra and co.

Before and after the recording session. Guys like Shaka-Kongo, Alpatchino and Lofombo would do multiple interviews to attack the bandleaders, which created alot of polemic. Alpatchino went hard on Wemba because of  private reasons (he had a personal issue with Wemba because of his ex'girlfriend who was dancing for Nouvelle Ecriture). Not even 1 or 2 months later he passed away and not Wemba not being allowed by Alpa's family to visit his mourning in K-V. It hurt Wemba alot. At that time rumors were spread that Wemba send his ex'girlfriend to poison Alpatchino.



This is the song. But for whatever reasons, Lofombo to update the videoclip by adding images of Felix Tshisekedi and former governor of Kongo Central Atou Matoubuana. I think just for financial purposes.
