Such a waste, I wish they performed at Olympia not long after the release of Sanction with the original sanction team, or even the Viagra team they could've performed and easily filled Olympia just look how packed LSC was. I know they were meant to perform there in 2002 after Viagra but they should've performed there in 2000/01 they would've had more respect. Academia could've done big things if they remained together for a few more years.

I think they might've filled it or at least closely filled it. Honestly its too bad they got their visas denied in 2002 and the event ended up getting cancelled I wonder if they would've filled it then especially since Lebou, Pathy, Suzuki, and Somono left the band. Of course it was too big for them do you know how big Zenith is? They only had one album out on the market, Olympia or Palais de sports was better suited for them.

Of course its to big its like 6000 seats. Even some big artists had sometimes difficulties to fill it and spending like 3 months or 6 months intense promotion for the show to mobilize the whole diaspora in Europe. To fill Stade des Martyrs is a big challenge even both Werrason and Jb Mpiana didnt fill 100% when performing there for the first time. Bouro Mpela himself was surprised for the way l'Esplanade de Palais du Peuple was filled like that which around 60.000.

What happened to the koffi zenith 2003 concert? I thought the one in April 2003 was succsssful? If you meant the December 2003, I get that one but wasn't it like one of the first concerts of that tour?

Koffi gave in April 2003 a goodbye-concert to end the long Europe tour. But back than alot were focused on Papa Wemba's arrestation for the ngulu-affair. Many were even mad why he didn't cancel the show. I believe that I back in 2003 saw a short extract on it on those polemic compilation cassettes, but i am not sure. Anyway, the show went unnoticed and nobody talked about it. So I think that it was a flop.

Koffi's second at Zenith de Paris in 2003 of december the 27th was the first big event of kin based band after ngulu-affaire. It was a huge flop. The revolution of coupe-décale arrived in Paris, many turned their back against Congolese artists because of showing up late on stage, many also becoming brother/sister in christ and many other stuff. It marked the end of era about Congolese artists performing at myhthic halls and from then them going back to LSC.
