This it doesn't make much sense having DVDs sold nowadays

That's literally throwing your money away as producer. Already back in the mid-2000s both artists and producers were complaining about piracy on dvds, making special intros about it and also short interviews to let it stop and asking for the Congolese community in Europe for solidarity and buy original. This all wasn't working despite, guys of Malinese, Senegalese, Guinese and Ivorian origin would still go with copies of dvds into restaurants, streets and shops to sell them for 1 euro and Congolese often prefering to buy them instead of buying original dvds. On the same time Congolese people would ask their friend to make a copy in the case if he would have an original dvd of for example the new movie of drama-group Kilimandjaro, the clips of Werra's temoingnage, etc. It all killed the business and many recordlabels closing, those who were still active in the game lowering the money they normally give to artists after finishing recording albums.





These were one of the reasons why Maisha Parc got created. Late Tshala Muana wanted Joseph Kabila in return of support from bandleaders for his presidential campaign of 2011, to create a proper musical industry in Congo like Nigeria in order to not depend from Europe anymore and being millionaire without having to rely on mabanga's and multiple concerts abroad and also build modern studios in Kinshasa. But this all didn't happen because of Koffi, Wemba, JB and Werrason messing everything up when meeting Joseph Kabila and Joseph Kabila seeing that they weren't serious. Then all the drama starting between late King Kester Emeneya and Tshala Muana about the 15.000 dollars. Some rumors even saying that Emeneya got poisoned because of that which apparently created on long term health issues to him that almost lead to his death in 2010.





From 2009-10 it became worser with youtube re-allowing channels to upload videos of 15 minutes/20 minutes long and later even videos of 1h. From then youtube-channels popped up who would upload whole Congolese concerts and movies who were like just for 3 weeks on the market. A called a think Theatre Sud or Congo Sud who was uploading new movies got even closed because of that and also Djomegadt, you who uploaded the new Zenith 2010 of Fally Ipupa, Werrason and Ferre, Koffi chante Tabu Ley, Cindy chante Koffi, etc.

Not long after the that the combattans-phenomenon appeared in Paris and Brussels, after being there in London since 2006. It was already there in both Paris and Brussels, but this time they would start like in UK a concert ban for in Kinshasa-based musicians. The difference with U.K. was that in 2011, the majority of the Congolese diaspora were behind them being mad about Joseph Kabila policy, the way Floribert Chebeya and Armand Tungulu got killed, 5 chantiers, live of people living in Congo not improving, etc. and also the presidential elections being on their way. This all started a war in the media about people living in Europe against artists of Kinshasa. Comedians like Ngalufar, Maman Bipendu, late Lokuli, etc. would go every week on tv at RTNC to insult people living in Europe and vice-versa. Multiple comedians and actors already promoting Maman Olive Lembe and Joseph Kabila in interviews and videos which made people in Europe more angrier and from then a huge boycott of dvds of Congolese movies starting. Producers who would  tried to produce them after it received death threats from combattans and made alot of financial loses, because almost nobody was watching movies anymore that were made in 2011, 2012 and 2013.





The same happened for Congolese artists (including gospel artists), when they performed at the 3 day politicial congres of PPRD at Stade des Martyrs. Combattans forbidden all bandleaders that performed that day to come back in Europe. All artists that came after it, had to hide themselves and were always scared to be attacked. Werrason, Papy Kakol, Reddy Amisi, etc. all became victims. From that day, combattans started to sabotate all albums that would be brought on the market. Rex Kazadi selling piracy version of Malewa suite et fin vol. 1 the day it came out in Paris, Koffi's Abacadabra being leaked, etc. DVD's of concerts coming out in 2012 and 2013 weren't selling well anymore and almost all people having tv's that could connect with youtube. So it made few sales that were present decline even more. In the same period 2012-13 the race of having the most youtube-views started and artists like Fally Ipupa and Ferre Gola uploading videoclips by themselves, so there was not more need to upload dvds of videoclips. About the DVD of Power-clips and that of Boite Noire-DVDs, I don't even think that it passed 5.000s. Because they both came out in 2014, when they already uploaded everything on youtube and everybody saw it.



The last dvds that came out were in 2015. Heritier Wantanabe's concert at Romeo Golf (his first after leaving WMMM), Ferre's EP Derangement, Werra's Fleche Ingeta which went unnoticed because of bad management from adt yanki mpuy, Annapipo of Fabregas and the 3-days event of Werrason at Grand Hotel de Kinshasa where he invited JB Mpiana, Papa Wemba and Roga Roga. Many forgot/don't know that it made Heritier leave maison mere, when it was announced that Fally Ipupa would be the main guest of day 3. Heritier seeing it as a humilation being on stage with a uniform in the case that Fally would come. But Fally didn't show up that day and only Roga Roga came.

So if it wasn't for that Heritier would be fine with staying with Werra his whole career? Wow, anyway I understand Heritier is already embarassing to be perform with those outfits imagine seeing a guy like Fally and you having to perform as a leader.
