Wow I didn't knew that bands today aren't able to perform properly at bars because of kuluna's. But I think that I once saw a video of Werrason performing at  Apocalyps22 in Masina and late Defao also at the same Apocalyps22 3 years ago. It explains why most bands don't perform anywhere but them waiting the right moment to perform at Village Chez Ntemba, Showbuzz, Rotana Kin Plaza, Hotel Memling and Hotel du Fleuve who are all in Gombé. Because now with no concert being in Europe,  all bands have to normally to go back to the normal setting of performing at bars which all artists (including big bands) used to do from the birth of our music until 2002/03, when all big bands stopped with that and starting to perform places like Marché de la Liberté, Terrrain Municipale de Bandalungwa, Terrain Méfé,  Terrain Sainte Thérèse, Terrain Assosa, etc. them only having normal concerts every 4 months at GHK, Planete J or Village Bercy. Because what it is the point to have a band when you just performing 6 times in every year ? and just rehearsing weeks long for nothing.

Tbh they brought up on themselves. Now let's not act like we would have rejected 20k Mabanga songs and thousands of dollars of gift from corrupted politicians, but at least they could have done something with the money that could have benefit the population, like a free school, hospitals etc. Yet they never done any of this and they always had this kuluna attitude of showing how better they are forgetting that Congo before South Sudan was formed was the poorest country of the world. So I understand why Kulunas don't want them there. With that said they should have capitalized on the outside market like Fally did. Fally might have defects but bro he is provable the best ever Marketing artist in term of getting to as much as people as possible

its not that kulunas' dont want them there, its that promoters are scared to organize concerts because of kuluna's,which is why guys like heritier or jb have one two guys who trust them and make them perform more often than most kin artists, werra also could perform as much as them if he wants but the loss of primus and la zamba has taken away some of his motivation because the crowds they have to pull in that new configuration is not as big as when primus was in charge and was having big podiums and could secure more than 10 20 thousands of people

I wonder if Bill Clinton will be happy for what Azanga said that he started first as dancer in Interpol, because it looks like he doesn't when people talk about his past, only when they say that he gave Tutu Kaludji some cries and him when being asked about it acting like he "created/made" kaludji and being fabulous from day 1.  In 2 years time he progressed very quick, Interpol of Koffi Alibaba, Groupe Jolino and Royaume Lifaki before joining Wenge Maison Mere. It would be nice if Mbuta Likasu could interview him to ask about Interpol and the streetbands were he passed, but I think that he will be able to tell the truth. Jimmy Mbonda and Alino Star already gave a big insight.

Big Stars has the same problem like that of Wenge El Paris about their archives being really rare. I would like to see the shows they did at Clarigde and LSC back in 1994. Defao is the only bandleader that  fires his musicians in Europe. Most bandleaders would wait when returning to Kinshasa and punish them there because. It was a blessing in disguish anyway for he fired the 1995-team that went to Europe, because his succes became bigger when he came back on his own with Famille Kikuta.

Talking about bands performing at bars. I miss those days when you had weekend with all bands performing in Kasa-Vubu. Imagine if that was back today. . Fally Ipupa, Ferre Gola, Heritier Wantanabe, JB Mpiana, Werrason, Koffi Olomidé, Felix Wazekwa, Fabregas and But na Filet all performing at the same moment within a distance of 300 meters every thursday or sunday.
