I feel like Koffi didn't really care for Ocean, he never praised him on songs and concerts like Kerozene, Brigade, Mboshi and Dolce. I always wondered why he left Ocean behind when they went to South Africa to record Titanic?

Ocean was new and joined a few weeks before the recording. CNN was animating for months on his own after Mboshi's departure. You had duet's at that time, but it was still normal to see one atalaku animating a whole album on his own. Tutu Calugi for example animated Titanic on his own at that time.

 what i also liked about cnn is that he could interpret animation of other atalakus and give it another feeling,and i am not talking about beevans mboshi somono before him, i am talking about those of his generation molayi bizima and co,for example the "midi midi tokolia pondu"animation by bizima look at how he transformed it on the attentat generique or how he transformed in integral the animation he found in cultura

CNN is a legend. One of the best atalakus in history, it was better for brigade and kerozene that cnn didn’t participate in Effrakata because he would’ve totally outshined them like the way he outshined acide, apocalypse and kerozene in monde arabe

I agree with Mfumu Vata. If you compare the animations from Monde Arabe to Affaire Dtat and Effrakata, there was a fall off there. This is an unpopular opinion but I think if Brigade was on Monde Arabe instead of CNN, that album may have been recieved differently since those were originally Brigades animations in the first place

it could be because of the style or sound of the generiques,i noticed the monde arabe  et danger de mort generiques have total opposite reactions its either very like or quite negatively reviewed as overrated  i was tempted to say its because of the fact it was partly recorded in kinshasa but then longitima also started and almost finished in kin only soleil's vocal i think was done in europe

they did a pre-recording of Monde Arabe in Kinshasa (them not being sure if they would get visa's). But they ended up by re-recording the whole album in Europe. When Acide ran away, there was a point that Koffi was thinking about erasing Acide's voice and letting Kerozene do his cri's but Kerozene refused. During the tour, many Koffi fans were complaining that the atalaku-department was failing in concerts. Mainly due to people being used by the kerozene-brigade combo and affaire d'etat still having succes but them suddenly seeing acide, cnn and apocalyps and them not really being able to bring the same atmosphere back in concerts.

O.O Longitima Skol was done in Kin? Broooo the quality of that song is supreme what is the name of that studio?

studio ndiaye. at that time received a new equipment which made songs being of top quality. sound engineer JP Kyss Kyungu started to get praised in songs. It's in that era that bandleaders like Koffi, Werrason, JB Mpiana started to record albums in Kinshasa (Sous Sol, Bord Ezanga Kombo, Kipe Ya Yo, Techno Malewa, etc.)

Hearing Brigade doing his version of nzembo na music & ya manuele cri (originally Kerozenes cri) at the GHK show in 2003 i was confused at why he wasn’t on monde arabe, he killed it. I wanted to hear cambodge as well
