I think that the album would have been much better if he invited many session artists like he did on his first two albums and gave Maika Munan the full control as artisic director of the album. On this album let his band F-Victeam doing the most work in Kinshasa although crediting himself as artistic director and Maika Munan & Leny Bidens contribution not being really big on this album. Just having worked on the few songs that were recorded in Paris with late Ntoumba Minka and Phillipe Guez.
The album is good. But he recorded to much songs for this album and because of that some songs sounding the same. I dont remember exactly which songs were identical to each other but with that they could easily reduce the album to 13/12 songs. However, there were donors who paid to have a song on the album and this being a quick way to earn money with no concerts being there anymore in Europe.
It took me a long time for me to like the album. When listening the album I was regretting my money for buying it. He was crying to much in songs and I was making jokes with my friends that he was Matou Samuel. It me having high exceptions for Ferre Gola's album Boite Noire and the exceptions even getting higher when the Ferre-camp were mocking Fally's album which was received hard harsh criticism on social media (he was lucky that those youtube-analysis who were first neurtral didn't exist yet)
I was seeing Power first as Fally's worst album ever made and was wondering how Fally could record an album like that. But after 2 months I started liking the album slowly and in no time it became my most played Fally album, having the songs Emeraude, Mikitsa, Nourrisson and Terminator as favorite. I used to like Double Clic also alot but on the same time it reminded what my cousin went through with his ex'wife who used to cheat on him. For me it felt like the song was pushing men and women to be unfaithful in their relationships. The song Service didn't make sense in my opinion but was a huge succes back then and made saying to myself that the level of songwriting would drop even more in the coming 10/15 years. The songs We are the world and Likukuma made me really laugh. I think that these two songs are quickly forgotten because of not having videoclips.
The album wasn't promoted well compared to Droit Chemin & Arsenal des Belles Melodie. Like kept promoting these last two albums for 2 years while the promotion of Power already stopped after releasing the single Original and the clips of the album not being convincing like the previous two albums who were of clips of high quality. It's the aura of Fally, his fans and the songs that made promote album itself.
Back in 2010, Fally's staff were talking about a Bercy for 2012. I really wonder how that Bercy would have been with this album and the tour. The album was before its release announced as a double album "Aller Retour". Retour being the rumba-album and Aller the world-album with multiple featerings. They already had recorded a few songs with artists and even clips. But they never came out
