Fikin 2000 was amazing! If only it was in better quality on youtube. I wish I heard 2001 and 2003. What about 2002?

The thing that I didn't like with that VHS is that they just put small extracts and mix it with interviews and rehearsals of Bercy. It would have been great if they released a full VHS of the concert at that time.

I dont think that they officialy released the 2001-event. I saw a part on a compilation VHS which had various concerts and interviews of artists in 2001. Many big events that Werrason did in Kinshasa in 2001 like the one at Grand Hotel to present Kibuisa Mpimpa are rare. I dont even think that they were put in a VHS to get sold in Europe. Because many musiclovers in Europe had all VHS of Kibuisa-concerts that were properly promoted at home.

I had the chance to see a big part of fikin 2003. My cousin went on holiday in Kinshasa and made copies of the concerts of JB Mpiana, Werrason and I think Nouvelle Ecriture from a television-channel. 7 Years ago, Seben Total uploaded a part of Werrason's 3x FIKIN-event that was put in compilation-VHS of what going in Kinshasa with bands (BCBG, Quartier Latin,..).

The FIKIN part started with Ferre, Heritier, Kabose motivating the fans to come during an interview. Day 1, Werrason talking to the fans, saying that the day is a training for day 2 (entrainmenent) and them all dancing to the ndongi-ndongi animation with the fans taking their shirts off. Day 2 being the fara-fara against JB Mpiana, fans going wild, Celeo throwing shots at JB Mpiana who was complaining about not getting invited for Fespam. They were dancing until the morning. Heritier was giving all his best on the tindika lokito-sebene of Flamme and suddenly the public getting beaten by soldiers and tear gas being used, many fans running away. Werrason escaped with his guards. (Werrason would refer to this day when being confronted about the incident with jb in 2005) Day 3 Werrason coming on stage with children and the show being soft compared the first two days.

In 2002 Wenge Maison Mere couldn't perform because they were in Europe. From the edition of 2000 to that of 2012 concerts at FIKIN would place from the second week of August until the end of September. Concerts were spread over 3 places. You had Village Bracongo (Skol), Village Bralima (Primus) and Village Vodacom. There would often fara-fara taking place. The confrontations of JB Mpiana against Werrason were always the highlights of FIKIN-editions. After the incidents both guys weren't allowed to peform against each other.

December 2006 was a rare occasion that they let bands perform at FIKIN. The concerts were taking at Village Vodacom, I guess to celebrate Joseph Kabila's victory at the presidential elections. Because Vodacam Congo was owned by Joseph Kabila's sister Jaynet Kabila. It were mostly upcoming bands performing there. Ferre Gola, Alain Mpela and Baby Ndombe performed together on one stage.



After edition 2012, it became a mess for artists. From 2013, artists would even perform FIKIN wasn't opened.
Already from 2003, the space of FIKIN would become with the years smaller because of land sold and people building houses and appartments there. Now when someone would perform just 7000 people could come while back in 2000 you had an attendence of 150.000/200.000 people. The last strong edition was of 2013 when Ferre Gola and Fally Ipupa performed but you could feel that it hadn't the same impact like the early 2000s.

It is so weird to see Brigade in Maison Mere before he joined Koffi, is what Brigade Says true tho? That Werra sent him to "loan" to Koffi to then get him back when he was ready. Because if I am not mistaken in 2005 when Brigade joined QL again if I am not mistaken I think Werra and Koffi weren't on good terms, with that said why Werra sent him away? I think that him Brigade on Temoignage with Celeo, Kene Kene and Roi David would have made Ça sonne even a bigger success in Congo even though it would have been hard to give space to all 4 Sous Sol was already a mess because Kene Kene despite his talent had been given only one crie and Prince two with Brigade and Celeo dominat8ng the generique with a spark from Roi David with that said yes Maison Mere back in the days was really strong in live then U don't know what happened.

No man Brigade was with Koffi first, he joined Quartier Latin in early 2001, he was left behind in Kin for the Monde Arabe tour and recordings in 2003. It's there he briefly joined BCBG which didn't work out and then he went to Maison Mere for a short time until when Koffi and Quartier Latin returned to Kin where Koffi called him back and then he returned to QL until he was left behind again for the danger de mort tour because he was suspended for his fight with Apocalypse and he then rejoined Maison Mere. 

Ugh Koffi should’ve suspended apocalypse instead. Brigade was a loyal one.

He lied. Werrason saw him, Bibicia & Cambodge as a spy sended by Koffi. That’s also one of reasons why Werrason finally not decided to use him in Alerte Generale. At the same time Koffi had problems in the atalaku department. So when he saw that Werrason didn’t use him in Alerte Generale. He sended people to get Brigade to his house of Montfleury and wanting to impress/intimidating him by having a lot of money on his table. Brigade decided to return and immediately there would start a rivalry between him & Apocalypse. Him being close to Fally made him finally miss the trip to Europe and the fight with Apocalyps making it worser. Koffi thought that Brigade would form a band with Fally once coming to Europe. Because of that he invited the evening before the trip Fally at home asking him, that he had to choose between Fally himself & Brigade about who to get in Europe and who to leave behind. Fally then choosing for himself. Brigade didn’t want to do and at some point became broke and wasn’t able to pay his rent. This all made him decide to rejoin Maison Mere after a few weeks

It's funny how Fally ended up leaving the band along with Apocalypse. Koffi really played himself there, not only did he lose Fally, ferre, and Apocalypse on that Europe tour, he ended up losing Bridage that he left behind to Werrason. He learned his lesson too late and it's still affecting him til this day

The thing with Apocalyps was that people influenced him to stay in Europe. He was scared when hearing stories about how Koffi treated Mboshi in Kinshasa when coming back from Olympia/Zenith. People were saying to him that he would get the same treatment once returning to Kinshasa because of animating for Fally's album Droit Chemin.
