He barely toured in Europe to confirm his success in Kinshasa the way his peers did like Ferre and Fally, but that's ok. He has his endorsements from Skol among others

It doesn't make sense to tour in Europe if you dont have succes over there. Anyway in the dvd of Palpipation Total he annouced a bataclan for summer 2007 with Les Samourais but didn't come. His musicians would probably all run away. Before that he did a small show at Salon Wilson with europe-based musicians and co which was like a wedding-show.

I'm surprised Bill wasn't popular in Europe, his generique for Wenge Musica were popular and he was always a highlight for the concerts he had there. Did he spend too much time in Kinshasa?

The thing is that after Miracles he immediatly went to Kinshasa to rely on the succes of it. Bill often said in interviews that he prefered to enjoy his succes in Kinshasa and work instead of spending time in Europe by eating semoule and standing minutes in long in the row at the municipality to short papers out like his collegues.

Bill was lucky to have his sponsor Bracongo/Skol behind him and support from men like Zacharie Bababaswe  him and his televison-channel (who had Ken Mpiana, Patcho RFI and others as journalist) to promote his stuff. He would extend that succes in Kinshasa with Kizoba-zoba. You will notice that when Ken Mpiana sometimes talk about the few atalaku who had succes in their solo-career he will always mention Bill Clinton and his album Kizoba-zoba as reference.

But the problem is that Bill Clinton didn't had  a proper team/staff Europe to promote his stuff compared to Kinshasa. He just had Jacquie Watunda and a few guys. While guys like Jus d'Ete Mulopwe (a big part went towards Fally) and Ferre Gola (although having joined Quartier Latin) had a big staff behind them, also many girls who were their fans and them immediatly defending them in Europe and defending their stuff when they started their solo-career. Even Celeo had a big team behind him in Europe.

Another thing is Bill Clinton being atalaku and not a singer, which makes it more difficult, because apart generiques he doesn't have songs that could defend him. I think that that pushed Celeo years later when he started his solo-career to do promote his rumba's alot

Tbh it is extremely hard to promote an Atalaku in Europe, I mean which producer European based producer could take someone like Bill in his hey day or Brigade in his hey day and make him a star the way they did with Ferre and Fally? .tbh I am always mad at my idol Brigadiera Sarbati, because he really had the chance to finally be the successful Atalaku who made it into solo career, can you believe people were saying that Bill was the thing back in the day, but Brigade was about to surpass him? Even now with the Djadju feat the guy didn't capitalized on it, he didn't give his best with Naza, he didn't go to Maitre Gims to ask for a feat, and furthermore he is the guy of Fally but since their QL days he never worked with him, imagine what he could have been with David Monsoh, or JPS Production

It’s true lol people downplay Bill a lot nowadays it’s quite sad, you even have people that say Celeo was better than bill and outshined him during their maison mère days which just wasn’t true. Bill was a monster in his prime

I know, I am just saying what people used to say back in the day because Brigade's solo career was going amazing, about Bill, I think that the people who used to say that about Brigade really had to be there, Bill was in a sense much like Michael Jakcson, he could, sing, dance produce, and his choreographyies were always unmatched, but unfortunately as always people who didn't see Bill will always believe Brigade is better like people who never seen Jordan believe LBJ is better
